Default Jailbroken IPhone 3g 2.2.1 Swirly Users

Any luck on getting this to work. I have unlimited MMS family plan and tried every setting and address I could find. I even called AT&T and made them resend the information to my iphone. Any help?

I'm sorry but I dont see what your talking about... I did see the IPHONE thread from the search and didnt see anything about JailBroken Iphones with Swirly. This is an off topic and so i just posted it in the off topic forum. Is it that much of a big deal?

while you should look through the massive iphone thread i'll be nice and throw you a bone

it wont work - swirly is mainly used for people on different carriers. i doubt you have an MMS package on your iphone account as you wouldnt have visual voicemail....

I have a family plan with other phones on the account with the family unlimited Text which includes MMS. How do they stop this from applying to one user on the account when I can put my SIM into a Razor and it works? Sorry for the questions, just want to understand. Some people say it works and some people agree with you.

Even though you should have posted this in the right place, I'm in a good mood.

If you're able to send MMS from other devices with the iPhone's SIM, then that means the proper port is open.

from what my AT&T rep told me their system will not allow MMS and the iPhone Data package to coexist on the same device at the same time - when you move your SIM to a different phone it registers the different ESN on their network and allows the MMS to happen

now he certainly could be blowing smoke (and I am on an enterprise account so that in and of itself could be the difference) but I spent a month dicking around with swirly and could never get it to work

Yep, AT&T are dong huffers about the issue. I had it activated on my acct. working flawlessly for about two months. It randomly stopped working, so I called them up again and got the "we don't support unauthorized 3rd party applications" and got the runaround.
MMS is pretty much irrelevant to me, so I gave up. If I need to send one I can always email.

it really ticks me off to no end - couple that with only being able to attach one picture to an email and it makes me a very unhappy camper when I want to send out pics of the cool cars we get through the stores....

*crosses fingers Apple decides to pull their head out of their ass and add it to FW3.0*
Wouldn't count on it though. They're racist against MMS.

there's an app out there that lets you do more than one image per email. Not sure where, but I found it browsing something the other night...
