Personally I think there is another problem at hand. It is not hard to put in a shortblock and a seasoned technician can install those with ease. Hell the pistons and everything come installed already. I think there is something else going on causing the failure. I mean seriously 1 piston gone, they replaced the piston, it goes, then it is replaced with a shortblock and that goes south. Something else is causing the issue.
lol I was about to say that, but i figured he was wondering the general area for the intake and exhaust valves. But that is what i was getting at with Moore, but all they were telling me they would do is put another short block in and call it a day, not troubleshoot what caused it, they would just chock it up to a random block made from marshmallows or something....

Has it always been piston 4?

Might be leaning them all out.

Last time I tried to tell them what was wrong they didn't listen, so even if I do that and show them what people think, I don't think anything will change. The field rep for Subaru has been looking at my car also, I think Moore shorted out my ecu when they put in the new cable or something, they blew my fuse to my amps.

Is that me? I have Friday off so I will get my car cleaned up after I take it to Moore to have oil changed and tires rotated. I also need to do the brakes on the wife's legacy this weekend I got her rotors and pads in today. I just need to do plugs and wires now before I put it on the boat to Germany. And idea on plugs? I'm not going to go cheap but it's just a 2.5i limited mid grade plugs should be fine right?
