Getting a couple basic switches installed in the dash today for my Hellas. Hope it turns out well. Also ordering my team dynamic 15" rally gravel rims in silver.

Look, it's the Bandit, 2013 style! It has been a good car. Thinking back through all of the many evolutions was cool today while changing over the wheels. It was time to change it up a bit. Lots of different looks coming with my different wings/trunks/wheel combinations. It is going to be a fun year. I am in the process of designing my paint or wrap (haven't' decided which yet) for when the car goes full on race car. Last edited by Nomadgene; 06-23-2013 at 04:29 PM. |

If everything pans out, when I get home my car will be sold. Then I will be picking up a nice 6 speed :-)

i know man , AkSubie already clued me in . I looked. It was really gorgeous but my sights are just a bit higher than that.
I am not even finished with school yet. 60 or so more days of a 27 month process. I still have to sit for the national certifying exam (scheduled for late September), obtain state medical licensure, find a collaborative physician and then finally a job. Generous offers and leads are numerous right now but as my pal Taig tells me, keep your eyes on the prize. I already feel so blessed. I have a healthy, loving family. I have a nice home, a garage full of paid for Italian super bikes, and A JDM motored bug eye. My cup runneth over. I aspire to eventually become a benefactor for motorsports here in the state. We'll see. Just gotta keep putting one foot in front of the other, working my program. Last edited by Nomadgene; 06-24-2013 at 01:23 AM. |

So don't give me too much crap, but thinking of finding a way to run 27.5" super swampers on the Subie. Would definitely be unique. Would take some suspension work which I'm already planning, and shouldn't need any fender work done if my calculations are somewhat correct. I know if I did it, my mileage would go to crap, and may be down a little on power and torque. Just wondering if anyone thinks the components (steering, tranny, etc.) would be able to support tires that run about 19lbs heavier each. Def would be a head turner haha!

Google this, lots of good posts out there and plenty of lift options to include all necessary parts depending based on lift/tire combos..

I've tried looking everywhere on nasioc and dirty impreza. Plenty of stories and builds with guys running aggressive tires, which I'm not worried about. I know I won't have much trouble throwing on some heavier tires and suspension. Looks like mine would be the first of the newer wrx's to do this. Just hoping that everything will hold up well. Definitely got some funny reactions when I told people I was considering it. All said and done (tires, suspension, labor, etc.), I'd be looking at about $2000-$2500. Time to start saving I guess!

^^ That looks like it could be Johann's build. I should go catch up on that thread. He had some crazy stuff going on with his Forester.
