Buy a stock block, install it, trade for a used 335i or similar grand tourer.

So you loved your car untill you popped the engine..... what a waste of money, you have a 24 pg build thread and then you quit when s**t gets tough. Pistons and head gaskets dont cost that much.

I went through this phase... And every time I drive my girlfriends Corolla S it reminds me why I have a wrx.

I will be staying with the stock turbo on 93 unless we get E85 local but I'm sure going back to the stock turbo would be bummer for you but wouldn't it be worth having a more reliable DD?

Also, I'm sure your frustrated but my thoughts would be to keep your wrx and turn it into a project/fun car. Just buy something lame for a dd. I would assume you could afford that considering the amount of money spent on this car?

It's been proven time and again; buying a slow boring car does not cure the mod bug. It just frustrates you and then you end up buying something even stupider.

I want to do basically the same mods as you. I wouldn't even think about doing it without a built motor ready on stand by. I honestly can't believe you didn't expect this to happen.

I guess I just figured he would have been more committed to the car after dumping thousands into it is what I'm saying.

I have to agree with this. If you try and get rid of your car you will be out roughly 10k due to the mods you bought, and depreciation on the car. To get forged pistons and get the motor back and running I would guess ~2k. Just a thought.

well he is a good photographer. idk maybe he is just bored. I'm just glad it wasn't the tranny that gave out. Too much negativity in this thread now, we should be more encouraging so he builds the motor

LOL, this is Bens build thread. Ironic how this whole page consists of posts excluding any from Ben himself. Where you at Ben?

Imagine he's taking a beating on the last few pages and his ride is kicking him in the nuts. He's probably taking a much needed break.
