Default Best place to buy used JDM EJ20 engine & transmission?

Hey guys I'm wondering what places you'd recommend and how much you paid etc?

I've searched around and I have seen a few EJ20's on eBay but no manual transmission.

Thanks

I looked at a east coast swappers site this spring and they had some available. I am sure any other importers could get you something.

eastcoastswappers.com is the only way to go in my honest opinion, and from my personal experience

great people to deal with, and awesome prices. + they stand by thier work and parts.

Thanks guys

Please keep the list coming.

eastcoastswappers.com looks good but I'm in Canada and also I would never really need a swap, maybe just an engine or transmission.

They are the first place I've found anywhere advertising a JDM WRX transmission which is good though.

Does anyone know in people/companies that are actually in Japan?

lachutesubaru.com They are in Canada, and specialize in swaps. jhotimports.com is in America...they sell on ebay and retail as well.

Take note though, ALL subaru transmissions fit ALL motors. Yes, there are some details from motor to motor, push versus pull, but I give a big thumbs up to the 90-94 Legacy trannies for best bang for the buck. They are $125 in the yard, can be rebuilt (bearings only though), and can hold 300plus whp....

Note to self.

Don't talk crap up you don't want to BLOW up!

Yeah, ate 1st gear out of the tranny I was talking up. HOWEVER!!!! I was pushing massive torque with a 100***37; on/off pressure plate at the drag strip.

But, back to my original post, I am only going to have to spend $100-200 and will have another tranny that will do the low 12's as long as I launch "smartly".
