I'm fairly convinced that these motors don't make any juice up there, unless you have big azz cams or a big azz turbo...or a combo of both.

What's your secret for making power up there?

haha it took 4 of us about 10 hours to do all of that. He wanted to do something before he left for h2o, we were going to masking tape the hood and draw on it. When we got the tape we saw that they had all of the duct tape colors that matched a harlequin and he decided to do that instead.

so i SEM dyed 1/2~1/3 the wagons interior panels. not using spray cans. using my HVLP touch-up gun with a 0.6mm tip. atomizes great. very little waste.
spent <3 hours, including removing panels i didn't do, and rerouting some wires and figuring out what i'm doing with the tweeters, did all the prep work. almost pulled the dash too. have a few more things to pull otherwise. seems to be working REALLY well. like, with proper prep work on each panel, door handle, console, etc, (takes ~ 3x as long as actually spraying it. super even and smooth black. if it's durable it's going to be friggin sweet as hell. love it. none of these dashes or consoles ever came in black anyway. thinking of doing the white or lt grey microsuede for everything above the beltline. Vern, you did this, right? any large pics of it as it's finished? i'm pumped!

so 14k for my STi in WRX clothing sound right? i'd put it back to stock. think i'm just keepin wagon as my subie.

Good luck cleaning the residual adhesive off once your friend decides to remove it... I'd rather sand/spray paint a car than remove that much residual duct tape adhesive off a car.

Should've used 'painter's tape'.

He should just leave it like that forever.

Vern, thanks for the heads up on that block but it sold already! Man, I don't check NASIOC for 2 days...

I dont think he plans on taking it off any time soon. He spray painted his wrx flat black 3 years ago and when he wanted it blue again he just went to town on it with a rag and gas.

I think he likes the idea that if it messes all he got to do it add another strip of tape. From far it looks really like the real thing even thou they only came in golfs, when you get close you see the tape lines. Oh well its cool and definitely one of a kind.

fake harlequin is rad! but you ever left duct tape in the sun for more than a couple weeks? it's not really a matter of planning or repair, but good luck either way.

Default Question

Hey all.
I am not from arround here and wanted some advice from the local crowd. Anyone into R/C aircraft, if so where is the best local shop here in the greater Pittsburgh area to get parts for R/C helicopters. I have a TRex 500 that I crashed the other day and am in need of some parts, hoping to buy local.

Thanks again guys.

Anyone interested in a R180 upgrade? If I return my car to stock I will need to secure a stock R180. The one I have has been modified to have a higher lock-up percentage. It's hella tighter if that's what you want. PM me if interested.

I'd also be looking for some other stock stuff as well, injectors being one of them, stock turbo inlet tube, I will keep posting as I think of more things I'd need to swap back in.

I have a 12 pounder I'd part with. Needs a resurfacing, used it for 40k or so. Replaced it and my clutch since the motor was out and didn't have the luxury of downtime. It's one of those F1 moly deals from fleabay so it's not too pricey. 100 bux and a few beers should cover it.
