A little more... the first of two mufflers. And as they wont bronze naturally being at the rear of the car, we put the torch to them.

Its been a few months since I've been on here now... been busy with the NIssan/Datsun projects. Here's a few photos of the finished exhaust... It's faily quiet and has a good tone, but a little bit of rasp at certain rpm's. Being my daily driver, and not the fun project car, I didn't spend a great deal of time on it, nor effort or money, so thats what I get:-) I'll be tweaking it a bit and will post up the new photos once its finished up.

Most of the pie-cuts are laser cut using a Mazak rotary laser. I design alot of what we do in SolidWorks in order to fit everything up as accurately as possible, and then the parts (pie-cuts, merge collector pieces, etc) are cut using the actual part file to within .004".

Very pretty. So you have an extended runner UEL manifold with large diameter tubes. Not too worried about thr relative performance loss you're going to have?

That is the tightest fitup I've ever seen. Laser cut huh? That makes me feel a bit better. Either the angle is off, or those are some huge secondaries.
Extremely nice work. |

Thank you for the kind words! Yes, all of the mitered and collector pieces are laser cut, which does make for extremely accurate fit up. These last photos are of the rear section of the exhaust (2.5") and the collector will be positioned right behind the rear diff, and branch off into two.
