Default swaping a u.s spec to jdm

ok i've got a 1994 subaru impreza wrx here in japan. i was thinking about junking it before i left and shipping the front clip back to the states. and trying to do the conversion. my question is would it be worth it or would i just be better off just trying to buy a jdm spec car in the states.

why not just ship the entire car, strip the parts you need then sell the rest?

strip the car and ship the smaller stuff back here along with either the engine, or trans..then when you come back bring the shell, motor, or trans with you..it will never be street legal since its JDM but there are ways of making it legal

firewall swap is the way to keep RHD. ship your whole car here, in parts, but swap everything you have from your WRX into a nice rust free legal chassis. pre 96 if you need to pass emissions etc.

i would do the clip, that way it's all there, and attached to something not just in boxes, etc. just make sure you undo the entire harness from the car and wrap it up and stuff it into the footwell for shipping. toss the differential and driveshaft there and you should be ready to swap when it arrives stateside.
