Default Please recommend a body shop

Hey,

A week ago someone fishtailed into my left rear quarter panel. I need it fixed but I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to choosing repair shops (Mechanical or otherwise). I would greatly appreciate any recommendations. i live in the Northwest Suburbs.

Thank you.

If your in the city...

A forum member on here owns this bodyshop:

http://www.richardsbodyshop.net/

Its about 3 blocks east of the train. So its a pretty easy ordeal. Drop it off, hop on the train and downtown in 15 minutes.

^^ The paint job wasn't that bad, the paint matched perfectly and seems to be holding up well. The only part they messed up was the side edges of the hood:
When you lift the hood, and look at the side edges, there seems to be paint missing, like it was polished off or something, then clear coated over as it's smooth and not rusting. When the hood is closed, you really have to look for it (look into the gap between the fender and hood) to see it. It doesn't bother me at all and I'm sure if DrNick noticed it they would fix it for him.

That said, if you're looking for a shop in the NW burbs, I recommend A&L in Palantine. They did an amazing job on my FXT and messed up on the way out, when they got a screw in my new tire. When I drove off and noticed the issue I came back and they offered to replace the tire right away. S*** happens to everybody, the way they took care of it is why they are my number one recommendation.

What the hell, I thought I had subbed to this thread. I will check out A&L, and I have responded to the PM. Where exactly is A&L? Additionally, I live in Buffalo Grove IL, probably should have mentioned that earlier.

**Edit, I just saw that you had put here A&L was, sorry, i have been drinking, so reading and typing is a challenge right now....***

I would check out Americas autobody in Schaumburg. Some really great guys and the owner is on the level. How many body shops do you know that post signs
Telling you NOT to use known certain scumbag ins. companies. I have had all my work done there, and even when I had some issues they took Care of me no questions asked. Oh and the shop is one of the cleanest around

^Everyone has their own opinions and experiences, but for me...hell no! Grew up in the Grove and have seen nothing great come from there. My two cents and purely subjective.

Not really. Their quote for a bumper replacement + respray was the second cheapest I've gotten last month.

your opinion. he did amazing work on my wrx. and he shaved the emblem and latch on my friends GTI hatch and it turned out great. hes been rolling out freshly painted rolls royces and old beetles latley. not sure who would take a rolls there and not expect good work.

I hear great things about A&L.

I had a bad experience with Riverside Auto Body in fox river grove also.

If you plan on taking it to A&L do not talk to Val. He may be one of the reasons I NEVER take my car back. Feel free to MSG me with questions. I've been dealing with them for the past month and it's still not settled.
