Default Need Urgent Help, Sti runs horribly

We have an 04 Sti that was built for Fuzion tire (yea, the ugly green one) and anyways, they dropped it off at my work and wanted us to put a new bodykit on it, a Stoptech Brake Upgrade, Sparcos and a bunch of other little stuff. They also wanted us to get the car running right, all in about a week and a half. Anyway, the car runs horrible and i have to ship it out tomorrow morning and am looking for some suggestions.

The car has a Turbo XS FMIC and a Turbo Back exhaust on it. It had a vent to atmosphere BOV on it and we initially thought that that was most of our problem. We replaced it with a recirculating one and changed the plugs and the car is running much better, but it still likes to die sometimes around idle.

The car also has gas in it that has probably been in it for 2 months or so.

What are you guys doing when installing a FMIC and Turbo Back Exhaust to make it run correctly, or should the ECU learn it and we have a bad gas problem?

Please help.

Thanks

sounds maybe like a boost leak, or the maf on the intake might be on backwards

The car needs to be tuned. You changed the intake Tract with the FMIC and intake. Start by pulling the codes with a scan tool. But you need to have the ecu flashed for those mods for the car to have a chance of running right. unplugging the MAF put the car in limp mode.

I would use Cobb and find a ProTuner near you.

Make an appointment tomorrow with someone who does ECUTEK reflashes. That would probably be the fastest tuning route unless you can find a Cobb Accessport locally.

I think we have more problems. I think it has different injectors in it. The tops are yellow, i have heard they are normally pink from the factory, and the green bar that goes across the tops of them is gone

STI injectors are yellow. They are sidefeed.

the usdm sti have stock yellow side feed injectors.
you definitely need to get the car tuned properly.
how far are you from boxer4racing, north carolina
or knowledge performance, atlanta georiga or
topspeed also in atlanta.

but you should be aware that elevation makes a different
when tuning the car. do not get the car tuned at a shop
that is higher in elevation than you are.

you did not mention which engine management system
currently resides in the car besides the stock ecu.
