Default b12 chemtool doesn't smoke like seafoam :(

Sunday morning felt like a good time for the ****s and giggles of seafoam. SO I went to the only store open walmart and they didn't have seafoam. But they did have b12 chemtool and I remembered someone saying it was similar even more powerful.

So I get it and suck in 3oz with a vacuum hose by the TB. It stalls out and I let it sit for 5 min and start it up. Its take a while to start and i'm smiling with anticipation of huge clouds of white smoke.

But no. Virtually no smoke.

So, naturally, I figure I just need to use more 5oz more in and let it sit for 7-8 min. Same thing...no smoke.

So I figure since the vacuum hose is tiny, its not sucking it in fast enough and most of it is getting combusted/pushed out by the time it stalls.

So with the engine off, I pour the 3oz into the hose. Then turn it over 2-3 times and let it sit for 5 min.

But I still got nothing.

I don't know if it cleaned anything, but I do know it didn't smoke AND THAT WAS THE IMPORTANT THING!

Moral of the story: If someone is chasing you, dont use b12 Chemtool as smoke screen.

pouring raw liquid into an intake manifold = the best way to hydrolock and a motor and bend rods

Thats what the seafoam directions say. Put 1/3-1/2pint in the thru the TB or vacuum hose and then shut it off and let it sit for 5 min? Stalling, although possibly a tiny bit bad for the engine, has the same result as shutting the engine off. It was running until the last bit was in then I let it stall. But I guess that probably means I was putting it in too fast. The second time when I used more, it did not stall and I actually had to turn it off.

yeah pouring it in with the engine off had me a little worried, but thats why I only did a little bit.

You Pour in I think it was 1/2 into the PCV Hose turn the car off and wait 5 Min I did it on my Impreza back when I had it.. it smoked but it's nothing to rave about.

But if you stalled the engine while pouring it in you did it too fast, and if I'm correct (don't have the can in front of my right now) it says something about NOT to pour it in fast.

you guys are actually pouring it in? not sure about you, I just put a short piece of silicone tubing on the T normally used for the boost gauge, and it sucked it more then fast enough.
