Default JR stage 2 system

Brought my car to ICS a few weeks ago for a stage 2 system. Very simple setup:
Utec Delta
typhoon intake
invidia catted DP
Greddy SP2 Catback
fuel pump
Also has TIC's holy shift kit and diff busings installed.

The car is as quiet as stock. We didn't even realize the car was on at one point when it was idling. But when you get on it, it sounds mean! Exactly the volume i wanted.

Junior did a great job, as usual, with the tune. The car pulls like crazy. Its the only stage 2 STI i've been in, but is bananas fast! Plus, the car is my daily driver and still drives like stock in traffic.

Here's the dyno: 315awhp, 355awtq....

Going back soon for one step colder plugs and a few "Junior" tweeks which should yield some nice additional power!

nice numbers for so few mods...
i would have him look at that lean spot where it goes ~11.5:1 starting around 5,250

You'd consider 11.5:1 lean? I never thought so....

may not be *that* lean but it certainly doesn't conform... and in lower gears you may have a leaner condition than 11.5:1
just lookin out, guess i'm partial to a flat a/f line

"Conform? I'd rather outperform." -Me

Good job JR, and to the original poster, enjoy!

Oh, and it's the higher gears where you have to worry about a lean condition, not the lower ones. That's also dependant on injector size more than anything else.

The run was in 4th gear.

Run # 55 in this post was in 3rd gear (done several months later on the same tune).

In light of your observations, it would have been curious to also test it recently in 4th gear.

Actually AL.. run number 12 was done in 4th gear.. I never dyno a 6spd in 3rd.. I dont know what kind of BUFFOON would do such a thing. It is pretty weird that the car ended up so lean though... especially after 4 months of no complaints.. Just a trip to a free dyno day..

That is what I was trying to say - I will edit my above remarks - the idea being that the member's observation about the car running leaner in lower gears was very accurate and relivant.

Run # 12 - 4th gear - lean but only slightly so

Run # 55 - 3rd gear - very lean

Both runs have same leaner hump at near 5300 - 5500 rpms
