So no AVCS on your motor. What block are you running? So 10cm HS, IWG or EWG? What are you going to use for injectors? I'm surprised you did not go rotated with your build. I had always planned to rotate but with all I currently have into the stock location set up we figured give the Dom 3.5XT-R/ 8cm a go with my EWG.

I basically had this complete mod list from above on the stock EJ255 with the VF48 and made great power on both 93 and E85, huge torque gains and top end with the EWG. I really like the KB Holy Header, they help fast spool and great flow. Dom advised me to stay with the 65mm intake as he will tune it with MAF/ Speed Density hybrid, so good drive-ability and good performance up top.

There is no dyno data on this turbo yet, Even Blouch has not posted up any data on it. I spent a bit of time discussing it with Mike and he said go with the 8cm HS because of my EWG set up. He said I won't loose much at all up top. l may have one of the first graphs up on this turbo. I psyched to see what it produces and like the more closely matched hot and cold side wheels of this turbo, it's similar to the GTX3576 and that looks to be making good power!

Good luck with your build!!

I talked to both Dom and Dewey today to keep this moving and the dates that seem like will work for Dom, Dewey, Layvon and myself looks like 2nd or 3rd week of October. SEMA is the last week of the month so that is out.

Dewey is working on getting Dom into Chicago and securing a dyno. I am going to check back with him the end of this week. We will need firm commitments on the cars that need to be tuned at that point.

I will report back here so stay tuned.

Ooops, forgot the R in the 199-j, yes AVCS, EWG(38mm) Sleeved Destroked 2.5, ID1k Injctrs
Like you, I have waay to much into my stock location set up to got rotated... I sorta "fell" into this turbo, otherwise I'd have done a precision 6260 or similar , My build isn't quite done, so this moving the date thing is fine by me.
I'm looking @ the middle of Oct before she's up n moving

Hey Dewey,
Any luck lining up things and nailing down dates? I have some dates below that will hopefully work out with you guys.
SEMA show is 10/30- 11/2 so these dates are taken.
I am booked for work on Saturday 10/27 but could be in Chicago on Sunday 10/28.
I am open the weekend of 10/20-21.
We could do it right after SEMA on the weekend of 11/3-4 if that works better for folks. I am booked for work the following weekend 11/8-12.
Let me know what's up.
Thanks!

I'm available pretty much any weekend as long as my car starts and Dewey / Dominic can make it. Any other from up there in the first posts?

h2oridr, that sucks big time! I am an avid rider, both road and mtb. I've had close calls with cars on the road bike but luckily have averted collisions. Sorry for your misfortune. Did the driver stop and are they helping you?

Dewey, Please keep us posted, all systems go for tuning per dates above ^^ thanks!

8-11th of October or November? I am by no means ready to go by Monday

I could care less if I have to wait a little longer. It will give me time to do everything nicely and not have to rush. Could pull motor out, retorque head studs and check clearances out one more time.

Dom is hopefully getting me my base tune this week, so once it's fired up, 1000-1500 miles is nothing to put on. Could drive up to houghton and back with a mountain bike and tear it up for LSPR And come back ready to rock the dyno.

Obviously I want my car done, but I've learned to be patient.

Perfect.

That will give me 2 weekends to put miles on, and 2 weekends to Yank motor and verify everything. Assuming I get my basr tune this weekend.

Unfortunately the driver did not stop. Without going into detail, a passer by called it in so no help. Thankfully I have insurance but that doesnt help with the deductible, missing work and fixing my bike. Im lucky I relatively walked away from it. If anything changes with my status I will let you guys know.

F' ing unbelievable, someone hits you on your bike with their car and they don't stop. What an ass hole! Anyone ID the car license? Sucks deductible, work and bike. It's good that you're OK! It's looking like November now so hopefully you can make the session.
