With our calculations and a test fit on 17" wheels, these *should* work on 16" wheels. We have not actually put them on a car with 16" wheels though.
This Sunday we will finally be test fitting them on a 16" wheeled car. -Tom

sorry for another question. Im on the verge of ordering these.
So with these ball joint extenders what would be the optimal drop with this kit? i believe its be generally agreed that the lowest you would want to drop the front of the gd's is 13.5 from the center of the hub to the fender. With the ball joint extenders would it be better to keep it at that height and have the benefits of less camber loss, or do the ball joint extenders actually make it so that you could drop the front lower and have benefits of a lower roll center and less dynamic camber loss? Thanks in advance. |

The kit will make 'optimal' closer to 12". however, lowering that much would require some inner and outter fender work. I am currently at 13.25 (on really stiff springs) and will probably only go another 0.5" lower, which will only require trimming the inside lip of the chargespeed fenders.
At that hieght I will still run less than 3 deg camber, where as before I ran close to 3.5. I think most folks will only drop slightly more (especially if they have lips) and reduce their camber. hope this helps, javid (from his cell phone at jfk) |

The machine shop had a small issue with the first batch. They broke a couple of saws while machining and lost a couple of days to getting a fancy new one in. Also had a slight delay in the drilling of the material for the through holes.
We are a bit delayed, but should start shipping these mid week. Very sorry about the delay. We built in some "slack" time and ended up using it and more. -Tom |

One thing that's been bugging me. There's no way to cotter pin the connection between the tie rod and the tie rod extender, correct? Is that a possible problem?

It is not a problem. There will be a "taper lock" as the taper 100% matches up the tie rod end. Also, there is a grade 8 allen head "set screw" that is screwed down to lock the extension on the tie rod end. Vice grips will be required for installation to hold the tie rod end while the extender is put on. We have run all this through the engineer and the proper torque can be put on the part and the set screw and taper is more then enough to hold the torque.
