Virtual Dyno

Just for fun...50-100 for xluben

50-100 = 4.33s (with no flat foot shift)

Also, for comparison against my last turbo, Dom1.5xtr 10cm. The Dom1.5 setup dynod at 400whp on a lowish Mustang dyno.

And just for kicks, here is what the Dyno feature on the Accessport shows (weight-3590, gear-4)

552hp @ 5845rpm / 558tq @ 4361rpm

Wow, great results! It's amazing how much more power this setup is doing vs. the 1.5XTR with only 2psi more boost. And it spools just as well! I guess I can see why Phatron doesn't like the 1.5XTR much!

Any idea if you're being restricted by the TMIC? I think it is probably helping a lot with that incredible spool (400WTQ @ 3.5kRPM's), but I'm amazed it can keep up with that top end. The Spearco must flow pretty well. I wonder how it will handle heat soak...

Overall it looks like a great, (relatively) simple setup! Spool looks amazing and the top end is really strong. Any idea why the plots are trimmed? I assume this is VD - Dynojet setting? The 50-100mph time looks good too. I was just going to ask for that, and then I saw it!

Now a speedo video?

PS. Your site gave me some weird error in a pop up box, and then showed me a bunch of HTML code. Only happened once. I was just mousing over things when it came up.

I guess Ron didn't like getting called out for posting weak cars and stepped on his stronger customers to post up his voodoo.

Please tell me you rev over 7. Please.

Wow thats alot of power and early. I cant believe your still running a TMIC with all that power. Must be happy with it though as im sure ron woulda told u otherwise.
Your dom 1.5 on e85 looks almost identical to my Dom 3 graph. Gotta love e85.I couldnt imagine having over 150 more whp, 415 feels nasty. It must just be scary at this point.

You really can't compare a 49lb/min turbo to a 64lb/min turbo. The GTX is much more appropriate for a high boost E85 application.

OP is your TMIC getting head soaked? At 500whp my hyperflow is having issues after repeated pulls

Nice car.
Honestly not very much. Ron likes to keep his tunes pretty conservative, but I asked him to step on it a bit. This log saw maybe 21.5-22 degrees by 7k.

Ya, I'm blown away by this turbo. Transient response isn't quite the same, but its still making WAY more power than the Dom1.5 was

The Spearco is an amazing TMIC. The guys at P&L designed their rotated kit for this intercooler, and it's showing. I'm sure if I went up to 7500 the HP would keep climbing. I'm sure I could get a slightly faster 50-100 if I did a better job at break boosting and used FFS

Rev limit is at 7. Still a fairly young motor, and I don't want to go past 7 honestly. At 7k its a ZOMG feeling.

It's hard to tell. I never had a problem with it in the summer. Right now the average temp has been 45° out, so, its cooling really well. I also have the PTP turbo blanket, and even after a 30 min drive, I can put my hand on the turbo. P&L designed their kit for TMIC and thats the way I wanted it. We'll see come summer time again...

Like juanmedina said, this is a 65lb/min turbo. It's basically a GT35R, just more efficient and spools like a GT30R (at least according to Perrin's big post testing all these turbos). One of the reasons I went with it is it still had good spool but made monster power.

These can be pushed to 32 and still be efficient. That would be scary. And stupid for me

You can when they spool the same!

Boost was already built by 50mph so brake boosting differently won't help anything. But it looks like it takes you close to 1/2 second to shift and then another 1/2 for the boost to fully built. I bet a hard FFS could save you 1/3 to 1/2 second.

Can you post (or e-mail me) more info on how you got the Walbro 465 to fit into the stock housing? How much power could your fuel system support (with stock lines and stock plastic housing restrictions)?

I think you should rev it to 8k and turn up the boost to 30psi

As for the Walbro 465, I took out my 255, put 2 o-rings on and thats it. It fit just fine. I think my mechanic had to shorten the tabs on the outside casing brackets as the pump is longer, and then the filter added to it, it made it too tall. But, the nipple on the 465 is much wider and it took a few tries to get it to slide in without pushing out the o-rings.

My IDC for this log was 85%. I'm at 55psi with the FPR and I'm not a fuel expert. But i'd guess I could go a tad higher than what its at now.

That's one of my favorite turbos. Great results!

The problem with the comparison to the 1.5XTR is that it's running a 10cm housing. That's doing it absolutely nothing in terms of power but hurting spool like crazy.

Also just noticed that this is rotated. The stock location one we did had nearly identical results. Nice to see the comparison.

That's some incredible spool. How do you think the stock location setup would do on pump 92? Any graphs? Naturally boost and timing would have to be more conservative.

Very interesting... I already trimmed my tabs a little with the 255, so I'm aware of how that goes. I think I might have to try that 465!

Transient response on the Dom1.5 was very very good, like stock good. The 10cm is the way to go based on the results TopSpeed posted...very little difference in spool with the 8cm vs 10cm. I was very happy with the 10cm.

I'll be getting a tune on 91pump. I don't know what Ron would run the boost at, but I daily drive with E85. Just want a 91 map for when I travel, and when my business gets busy I drive about 200 miles every 2 days...so will need a tad more economical and longer-range fuel setup for those weeks.
