I had to make a trip to Cincinnati late last week for a work event and figured I would swap maps from e85 to pump gas for the trip. I started with a bit less than half a tank of e85 so I said screw it lets see how the XTI does with e85 on the road. I was heading down I75 and mostly behaving myself driving around 75ish and I got an astounding 21 mpg on e85!
It did see some spirited driving and I had a guy in a newer white STI sedan near Cinci engage me for a bit! I'm sure he had no clue that my Forester was packing an extra 275 more WHP than his most likely stage 2 STI! It felt good to drive the XTI in some warmer mid 60's weather and I'm really loving my high CR build and the great tuning that Junior has done on this car!! |

I did a few 1st and 2nd gear pulls this weekend and boost sucks in 1st. I don't think I hit full boost until 5K rpm. It wasn't a drag launch though just a 2K rpm roll on. Boost response has to be much better with LC that builds boost or even a manual 4-5 K rpm launch.

Still pretty good though man, I should data log a launch, im only at 2 psi right now, be curious where I hit 20 in 1st and second also . I know I'm hitting it pretty early in 2nd because I keep hitting boost cut lol.
Agree with you Allan I want some 60s!! I'm 25 miles south of Indy right now and it has been 60+ for a long time |

The speeds of this log based on my rpm's, from a roll in 1st at 3k or about 14-15 mph to right around 100 mph letting off at 7300 in 3rd. The ET of this pull was around 6.5 seconds based on the data log time. Edit: I know this AP data log time is not super accurate but that is what I'm seeing from this log. Thats fun, do you have any experience? The launches I did in the middle of M66 yesterday when I was pissed the track was closed were the first ive ever really done. Thankfully my buddy rich was there to give some pointers. I was hoping Darius would do that but since it closed..... that didn't happen.
That is exciting about the goodies. Darius told me that the aluminum DS on his car took ZERO mods. Not fair. Layvon |

I am excited about getting my XTI out at the track, it's definitely not a light car buts its power is so linear and responsive!! I am loving driving this car, I feel like I just squeeze the throttle and it responds. It's soo fun on the road....! Today I was on the Ohio turnpike heading west and a modified SRT Charger stormed up and by me at a high rate of speed. I thought ok I can chase him down. I played with him some and then left. Needless to say I didn't get 21 mpg on that tank! LOL |

Do you have any speedo vids or logs of 50-100 or 60-130?

Nope not yet and I've got to take it easy I just got a note from my insurance carrier, not good I had some unlucky incidents on the road the past year. One in my truck one in a rental car and one in the XTI. Not happy!!

Sorry if I missed it but how do you like the Supertrapped EWG? Sounds great. I was just wondering if you had experienced any boost creep with it installed.
BTW, love the XTI. |

Here's a VD graph from a 3rd gear pull at 25 psi on E85. I kind of forgot about this pull from 4/2/13. I was able to take it out to 7500 which is right around 100 mph with my gearing and tires.
I think with the bigger 1300cc injectors and an additional 4 psi of boost, that 600 WHP is within the realm of my build! Last edited by manitou; 04-12-2013 at 08:52 PM. |

We shall see when and if the 1300's come in and we can push it some more. This is 3rd gear also. I would like to get a 4th gear pull in, it should spool even quicker but really have been unable to because of the traffic in Detroit. maybe when I get my car back up north. After finding the log for the VD graph I posted tonight, I looked at the time value which I know may not be super accurate but my calculated 50-100 mph, 3900-7600 rpm's was 4.47 seconds at 25 psi of boost in a straight up 3rd gear pull! That's not bad for my heavy truckster/ grocery getter! LOL

Well OK if you say so, much safer anyway! When we going? How about that drag map?
My DSS stuff might be done next week! Then swap that stuff and my Ohlin's in |
