It was pouring.. I really didn't want to drive it in the rain much, + Me and John had a play date anyway

I have had access and been tinkering with them for a while now. If you look back John@Akuma and myself tuned the first one to go 10s like 3yrs ago.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...light=gtr+cobb
Now that I have my own, I will tinker with it. I don't like practicing on other peoples 85-90k cars, I can lean on my own and not worry. Every GTR that comes my way for tuning I turn away to guys like AMS/AKUMA/IVEY. Once I get mine and Marks ( already in the 10s, 6.7 1/8th on 93 ) going good I will start tuning them when asked.

I'm actually down at KingsPerformance in Orlando, today the road race one was on the dyno making 775/774 with a 4.1ltr and the silver drag one goes on the the dyno tomorrow for the weekend fun at west palm beach. That one makes 998whp

Pj went 10.05@138mph today. Full weight stock turbos, e85. That is my goal. I got wheel/tires and id1000s. I'm hoping for some similar numbers, but I am going a different route with a few things.

30mpg.. lmao
So now I see why you're selling the XTI So you pulled the trigger on the R? Holy crap!!!

thats kinda funny. if I had to choose between owning a 10sec XTi or making payments on an 80k$ gtr, well never mind, i couldn"t afford 5000$ a month for a car payment and insurance. not to mention maintanence and upgrades. choice for me would be simple.

baller status, junior. wheres the pics of the bikini girls at PRI?

Reliable 10sec daily driver vs XTi
I hear ya thought, I wouldn't do it if I had to make payments on it either. I rather not own it at that point. 5k is nearly double my mortgage payment.. F THAT ... The payment plus insurance with a small down would be in the 1000-1200 a month though. Unless you put like half down

No bikini girls, I am already in S.FL for the racing action tomorrow.

Naaa Junior, more than than that with a small down payment. I did the math a while ago at a dealership. 20 grand down, which I would consider a small down payment, still has me at 1750 per month (including insurance).

Thats why I had saved up the cash to buy one but came across a property that just could not be refused. I need to work on finding a Mark, it would make my life easier, lol.

Naaaa big baller Botti, I actually do alot of used /new car dealer stuff. .. you know with my dealer license.
Depending on your credit, with 20k down your payment will be around 1000-1100 on 72 month loan.

You should work on finding some reliable sources that aren't such haters and bull****ters first. lol .. guys should worry about getting ahead instead of what others are doing or what they have have

That's why I was inconspicuous with that, can't believe everything you hear.

Mine was for 60 months, at 4 percent interest, 350-400/mo for insurance. It comes out to be roughly the same though.

My fam's buisness has a dealers license as well. I wanted to start going to auctions with my pops. I have noticed more than a few people in the game having great success with this. No time lately though. Enjoy the new toy

Well after being sold and shipped to the San Fran, the XTi has made its way back to me. The new owner was a little over his head with it and ended up selling it back to me.

Still taking it easy on the new motor. I will be out with it racing again though. Just need to swap out the dw1300s for another set of 1300s that work or get some Fic1680s/Id2000s. Its on pumpgas for now, making around 500whp. I wanna see if I can get that to go 10s on the 18s.

Yea, I didn't want to sell it to start with. I also didnt want to continue messing with it. I am still actively trying to sell it, but the new owner will have a 10sec slip with it

I don't really think the buyer really knew what he was getting into. It just wasn't for him. All is well, he is a super nice guy. I am glad I was able to help out.

The Injector Dynamics ID1600 has been discontinued due to excessive fuel temperature
sensitivity which was recently revealed by ongoing product testing.

Additional testing was prompted by customer feedback suggesting that the ID1600 exhibited
reduced flow rates when operated with high fuel temperatures.

Extensive on-vehicle testing was performed while varying fuel temperature, and the results
confirmed two things:

1. The ID1600 did in fact exhibit temperature sensitivity with flow decreasing as fuel temperature
increased.

2. The temperature sensitivity was not linear and became extreme at high temperatures.

These test results explained why the reported problems were limited to those performing
extended chassis dyno tuning, or driving in hot climates with fuel systems prone to fuel heating.

The results also explained why the overwhelming majority reported no problems, and why our
initial on-vehicle and flow bench testing showed that the ID1600 met our standards.

These standards set by Injector Dynamics have driven the industry forward, and we will
continue to set and exceed those standards.

Injector Dynamics is offering a free upgrade to ID2000's for those interested in exchanging their
ID1600's.

If you are experiencing a problem and would like to take advantage of the free upgrade, please
contact [email protected] and have your original invoice and injector serial
numbers handy.

ID had 1600's which they dont sell anymore for the reasons Tony went over above. and they are both bosch ev14 cores. so they are basically the same. and people with FIC 1680's have reported the same issue.

read the thread i posted the link to...they're the same....fic admits to "1/100" cars experiencing the issue and is investigatiing.

crystal impreziv had one of his 1680's fail on him.

I take anything that comes out of tony's mouth as gospel.
