I honestly don't think this is 100% correct. Just because of all the bends that are in the nameless catback. More so the axel-back rather than the catback. But still..

I do agree it is usually catless that adds rasp. My catted added a little bit of rasp to my Q300 though. The video I took off it cuts out a lot so I will have to do another one with my other camera. I will try to get one today and post it sometime this week.

The bolts that attach the Midpipe to the axelback loosen the spring bolt on the driver side or tighten the passenger side. Should even it out.

I was wondering if anyone with stock ride height with a 5 door and an spt exhaust could measure the ground clearance to the flange that hangs down for me, want to purchase one but have a parking ramp I need to go down.

I do and don't agree with this. I had a catless cobb and a magnaflow non resonated titanium exhaust on my XT. It wasn't raspy at all. Loud YES! It sounded like 15 mustangs were coming from a mile away. Had this exhaust about 4 or 5 years ago and still trying to get my hearing back in my left ear. Maybe it was but you couldn't hear it over the thunder. My friend had this same setup but with an aps equal length. The EL quieted it down a tad but was still rediculous. Little raspy when cold only. Mine vibrated the nut off the silencer and shot accross the parkway. Lol.
So now im old and looking for quiet. Im tempted to get the hks duel resonated catless dp but need a conformation that the resonators don't taper to 2.5 inside.
Also is it true that greddy discontinued their cat back for the 11+ hatch? This would piss me off..

TurboXS TBE - 2012 WRX hatch.

Not the best video but you can hear it on a dyno run.

Just realize you'll end up with a coke bottle constriction if you go with an aftermarket downpipe, as the spt has a 2" neck down to fit the stock downpipe, & it isn't swappable later on.

Anyone have fitment issues with a Cobb catback? Mid pipe didn't want to mount perfect with the down pipe and driver side tip sticks out further than passenger?

I took it to a few muffler shops and they all said they could heat up the hangers and bend them and "maybe" that will fix it. I'm not comfortable with that so for now ill deal with it I guess. I'm thinking ill jack it up, loosen re align and tighten everything again when I get the time. It looks like the muffler it self or the whole catback is slightly crooked causing the tips to not sit flush.

Yeah mines about the same but I think the problem starts from the down pipe to the mid pipe so idk. Maybe drop it all and start over if I find the time

One of my buddies was sponsored by Tomei last year when he went pro on the Formula Drift circuit. He is going to see what he can do for me on it for my hatch.

I was actually starting to get annoyed from the drone the stock exhaust has in the hatch. I spent 30minutes yesterday dynamiting the hatch. Wow! Best mod ever. Drone is completely gone. I think any exhaust now will barely drone.
