I autoxed the WRX wagon today and it was a rather interesting and eye opening experience. Driving a turbocharged AWD 5-speed 3k lbs car is VERY different from driving a supercharged 6-speed 2k lbs Miata! The WRX has SOOOOOOOO much grip it isn't even funny, but the wagon defiantely wants to undresteer badly. I'll admit my runs wern't very good as I've barely had the car 2 weeks and I really haven't had much time to push it (I just got it broken in this Thursday.) Also, I know I was VERY UN-smooth but oh well! I still had a blast. I know I was getting rather overzealous with the accelerator in places, but hey it's a new car and takes some getting used to!

I forgot where the WRXs finished, but they did pretty well after their first runs. The turn coming out of the start seemed to surprise all of them. Matt, can you fill us in?

Steven took first in STS (big surprise). Shane finished a very respectable third in STS. I took first in Novice running STS winning the NCAC for novice class with 27 points out of a possible 27 for the season.

Yep, time to play with the "Big Boys." How about some advice on that suspension? I'm thinking of Whiteline or Eibach Pro springs with KYB AGX struts. My only reservation with the Whiteline springs is that they are linear vs. progressive. I would like my wife to be comfortable riding in the car. I'm also concerned about drop. I don't want to go more than 3/4", 1" max.

Thumbs up

Well, I would like a spring that is not progressive. The Eibach's are progressive, and I like mine for the most part, but they are going to DROP the car. In case you couldn't tell from looking at mine! For the budget you probably have for this project, I would recommend the AGX's. There are much better things out there, but they come with a heafty price-tag!
