can you guys help me the person gave me the wrong transmission
hey guys i just blew my transmission a couple months ago..probably you seen me post "wtb transmission 04-05 for 800-1100 dollars..but anyways..being so hapy i got one for a guy from here in nasioc..he did state it was a 04 transmission and would fit in my 05 wrx..well couple weeks later very anxious to put in my transmission where i had to go up to sacramento "where my car is"...i took the half shafts or i guess they call front axles from the transmission off the car..welll....!! when i took a look at my transsmission it was a female transmission where there were no axle stub sticking out of it...and when i looked at the one i bought from the guy it had axle stubs sticking out!!!!!! all hell broke loose on me..! ..the front axles i took out of my own car were just plugins into the transmission of both sides..while the transmission i bought have stubs sticking out for the half shafts..! well point it i was going to ask you guys can i fit an 02-03 wrx half shaft or should i say front axles on my 2005 wrx! would i have any fitment issues with the hub in the front brakes on my 05???? would it be shorter than my 05 front axles??? guys please help me! pm me or just let me know or something.. i need my car running..i miss my car!!! feel me guys?!
thanks, kevin

I think the axel is like two pieces. There is a double male connector that goes into the tranny and the axel.
I think that's how it works. I'm pretty sure you're fine, just gotta take the extra part out of your axel or the tranny, whichever is easier. |
