Well the more power you make the better tire you need. Even 500whp evos have traction problems on street tires.

True, true. I'm new to drag racing but a pass that made my day was when I smoked a high Hp single turbo Supra that was on street tires. I ran 12.4s @ 112mph w/ 1.8 60 ft., he went 13.3 @ 125mph with a 2.52s 60 ft. Give hime slicks and I get destroyed but...

I'm sure he could have driven a little better but at that time I was happy to be the one with AWD if we both had to be on street tires.

Yeah. Supras with high power have alot of problems with traction on street tires. In the long run supras its the better platform for drag racing. Our cars are more for road racing. Not saying that it sucks at drag racing.

not trying to criticize you or anything but shouldn't you be faster then that? i mean my stock sti when i ran it went 7.92 in the 1/8th. i know you will jst get faster and faster if it was a 1/4 but i would think you'd be faster. what pm are u shifting at? whats your ffs rpm? cause that messes up regular shifting if you do not have it set at 7000 rpm

Sorry bro you did not run a 7.9 bone stock in the 1/8th unless the timing was off. And there is know way in hell you trapped 91mph's. Show me other stock STi's with stock weight running 7.9's.

I shift at 7K and the FFS is set at 7500RPM's so that isn't a factor.

Lastly, you do realize I was in the left column.

^Curious to know what supporting mods you had to trap 91 in the 1/8th while being stage II?

7.7

Do you realize you have a 49lb/min turbo? Tell your tuner to push it a little harder. Back when I made 306 on a mustang I went 7.6 on a stock turbo with TBE and a tune. Damn, I can only imagine what I would do with 101 more whp
