Do you realize you have a 49lb/min turbo? Tell your tuner to push it a little harder. Back when I made 306 on a mustang I went 7.6 on a stock turbo with TBE and a tune. Damn, I can only imagine what I would do with 101 more whp " read the red you didnt run a 7.6 at my track its got the worst track prep possable. what dccd settings did you use? i was the quickest street car there by allmost a full second thats how bad the track is.:

my second pass was 88.7 mph, my third pass i missed third gear and costed a 8.00et. the car feels great but i was not using LC or FFS and i could still smell cutch pretty bad. its still the oem clutch so maybe she aint liken it. i noticed i still have to shift for 4th about 20feet before the traps (1/8th mile) was your 07 the same way?

something doesnt add up? with your 330 ft et you should be a mid to low 8 sec. unless you have nitrous for the big end?

CJ's record trap speed is impressive but doesnt mean much other than he spun in first and shifted second so fast he spun a little more. More spin = higher traps generally. When he hooked a 1.6 60ft he went 12.1 @ 112, that is literally a perfect pass with 4 less mph. |

Now if we could just get a VF39 to trap 116 while cutting a 1.6 60ft!

On a side note the 116mph that CJ ran was extremely impressive. Take a look at the his 1/8th mph and look how much he gained on the back half. |

I recently went to New England Dragway (5/22/09) and I got four runs in. It was my first time ever drag racing my 06 Subaru WRX TR. No real preformance mods except snorkus removed and 225 45R17 Potenza RE01R tires. My first launch was 3500rpm then 4500, 5000 and finally 5500rpm. not bad for my first time.

Wow, I just got back from the strip. With it being a wednesday My wife and I had plenty of time to get run after run. I did make sure to allow the car to cool down after every two runs. I got a total of 4 runs and my wife had 7 to try and beat my best time.
I changed the way I launched and lowered tire pressure slightly to F: 31psi R: 32psi and outside tempurature was down to 68F. For my last 2 runs I held RPM at about 3k and when the second yellow light came on I gave full throttle and waited for green to go. I would get close to 6k (I didn't really look) by the time the green light came on. I actually redlined my car just before the finish. The run just before I shifted into 4th and got 14.086. |

Oh Oh my Turn
Just 1/8th mile times.. Ambient was 78*F Humidity was 65% Track temp was 115*F My Intake Air Temps were 105-110*F... TMIC Temp (checked with temp laser thingy) was 130*F.. I'll post and then you can look at my slip too R/T 1.2750 60ft 1.6659 330ft 4.9290 ET @ 594 ft 7.1330 1/8th ET 7.6231 1/8mph 91.81 Had traction issues - NO dccd controller - First runs of the night I had no boost - this was at 22.5psi and that was the most i could make (leaving I spiked 26 getting on the interstate (after my IAT's were down below 80) If it was cooler out and I had a damn hood scoop (STI not stock) and a DCCD controller I firmly believe I could run 7.4-50's... orgot to add- My highest trap of the night was 93.45mph - this was just my quickest time... I logged 2 runs - both didn't catch **** in the log - All I know is boost was not where it was supposed to be and everything was HOT... LC was set at 5500.. Full tank of fuel (yea I'm dumb) Track really does suck and hopefully in the next month or so I'll make it to Gateway Speedway in STL (1/4 Mile and track is supposed to be awesome) - for Reference guys run about 2-3 tenths slower at the local track than they do in STL (comparing 1/8th to 1/8th) - They have more traction problems - but there is a 10ft rise in elevation from start line to finish line (lol) Last edited by JSarv; 06-06-2009 at 12:05 AM. |

Its strange, my 330ft times on my 7.8x runs are the same... I would have a 1.7x 60ft time and a 4.9x 330ft time but 7.8x 1/8th mile at a faster speed..
It needs to be 20*F cooler out and I'll lay down some killer times (Or a fmic) Not bad for a 110k mile old 2.0 |
