Exclamation Legacy Upgrades

Hey guys i am 16 and just got a car. I had been hoping for a impreza but alas i got a 1996 legacy l wagon. Thankfuly most of te parts off a impreza fit a legacy but i can't seem to find a good suspention for it under $1000. The problem is that this is also going to be a kinds family car and i need one that can be change for confort and performance. Also we perodicalytake trips to the mts so i want one that can hadle that withajustible ride hight. I am kinda new to this whole upgrae thingy but i real want to getinvovled so any info u guys have would be great or suspestion sugestions or links for legacy prts becase i have had trouble finding any good ones.

are you running the stock wheels and tires?

if so, you might want to look at upgrading those, the front endlinks, and possibly the rear sway bar before going to a height-adjustable coilover system.

congrats on the legacy, too. my first car was a 1988 mercury topaz.

Get use to it. You don't own a Honda. Parts to upgrade our cars are more expensive, but they are better. First try to find a set of GT 16" rims. Get a larger anti-sway bar. Then go from there. You will notice a big difference in just those two mods. You can sometimes find GT rims for sale on this forum. They run anywhere from $350-$400. Look into getting Whiteline swaybar, springs, drop-links,etc. They make some quality stuff especially for Subaru.

yea i hve been loking now for a set of GT wheels from junk yards but i still want to find a coil over for like $1000

you could put together a set of ground controls and agx's or ver 5's for under a grand. or wait for a used set to show up in the classifieds. it's where i picked up my tein ha's.
