My best was a 49.4 with just a uppipe downpipe catback IC hoses and short ram.

I learned i should of left my tires at 44 psi instead of dropping the front to 38... they rolled real bad. My final run... was off course in a horrible way... I had brake fade and tires that weren't up to it.

A few suspension upgrades... and a stiffer sidewall and I'm sure I could of pulled a 45 like zoinks did.

(Talked to some really great people, and overall just had a great time, many many friendly people... plus no rain)

I managed 6th in STX. Great competition in that class as always. Didn't see the results on how I did in the Challenge, but I got a 44.7xx in my second run that I was very, very happy about.

Nice meeting you. FWIW, I don't really have much in the way of suspension (prodrive springs and f/r swaybars), but what I do have are tires and seat time. If you're actually interested in getting faster, you just need to autocross more; Philly region has lots of events at Ripken, and DC region holds events at FedEx Field. DC also regularly runs some great novice schools that can teach you exactly what to do.

Speaking of which...

Brian and Craig Garfield's school definitely helped a lot with the way I saw the course and how I drove. I'm happy with my result considering that I Auto-X about twice a year and how my car is setup.

The fact that Gary can run a 44.253 with the exact same setup proves that I need a lot more seat time.

I saw a few good drifts out of start going into the first hairpin.

I should have stayed in STU and taken 2nd with 44.253 and 21st qualified in the Challenge, as such I ranked 60th with the EM pax. Just trying to be nice to the owner, Jard squeaked in at #32.

Who won the top 3 with what paxed times?

Gary
EM #3 1st out of 2

I am going with some of the GS or STS cars.

It is hard to beat a well driven STS GC8, and there were quite a few there today.

Oh, there were LOTS of SWEET SM cars there today. Hats off to you guys!

1st STU - 43.172?
7th overall PAXed
DFL Challenge

Onboard videos of myself and Jake are now up on Moran Brothers.

Jake's best run (43.6) was pretty impressive considering he screwed up on the back section. That probably cost him a tenth or two.

Having ~180HP and being stuck in SM Sucks!

BTW, big thanks to Evanthe and everyone else from the DC Region for putting on an awesome event. Even for DC events, this was one of the most smoothly run autocrosses I've ever seen.

You are most welcome! I know that Steve and I had a BLAST Friday night and yesterday, meeting everyone and seeing all those sweet-as-can-be subies!!

In terms of smoothness, something has to be said about running 100 less people than usual... But I'm really pleased you felt it was a smooth event as we were on a skeleton crew due to nationals.

I personally want to send a HUGE thank you to Randy and the rest of the Subaru of America crew (i was really impressed by how many representatives came!!) for giving us the opportunity to run a Subie Challenge event. I hope Subaru continues to use the autocross venue as a way to promote Subaru's name and bring the community together.

Woohoo !! 3rd in D-Stock!!!

My 240+ pics of the 1st heat should be up soon. I couldn't get any pics of the rest of the heats because I worked 2nd and 3rd heats and ran in the 4th.

Forgot to mention I ran a best of a 44.6 before our tires just became toast in STX. Challenge I drove like crap!
