Hey is anyone into Indy Light Series?
Hey Guys,
I'm working with Carmen Jorda who is driving in the Indy Light series. She has done very well in Spain. This is her 1st time in the US for racing and to be here. Curious if anyone follows the Indy Light Series? I would like to keep it super professional Or I'll have to close out the thread. http://www.indycar.com/indylights/ Scroll Down I'll be releasing the photos I take from my Adventures here! Thanks, Chuck III

Good friend of mine raced in Indy Lights last year. I went up to Mid-Ohio to watch him race a couple times over the past few years

If its just Indy Lights, i think 25% would be pushing it. They usually tie it into IndyCar though.

It was an ALMS, IndyCar, SWC, Speed GT, etc. weekend so there were a bunch of people.
As they said, it is an IndyCar feeder series. Many times you can watch it on TV and there is almost no one in the stands at the oval races, but there are more at the road courses because of all the other stuff going on during the day on those weekends |

Sweet yeah this is going to be my 1st time touring with a team. I'm pretty excited. I have no idea how I'm going to pull this off with my day job.
What do you think? |

I've got a buddy that is hoping to do a couple races for Indy Lights, including the Indy 500 Carb day.

I don't really think she is going to cause that big of a stir. There have been female drivers in feeder series before, they got a tad more publicity, but not much. Although attractive women do tend to get media attention... Feeder series don't get much media attention what so ever in America. Hell, main series don't get much media attention. Motorsport just isn't something people seem to care about...
What was he reason to choose Indy Lights? Why not attempt British/Euroseries Formula 3, or Formula Master? A feeder series in Europe has a better chance to produce a career then a feeder series to a series that in itself isn't very popular in America. Last edited by blue blurr; 03-09-2010 at 09:04 PM. |

Do me a favor and shoot the person who did her website with all the sounds and crap on it if you ever meet him. Why do people feel the need to do such crap.

I see your point about the talent, and getting more well known here because of it. Also about women in sports... agree with that. But the cost of the two series (Indy Lights and F3 Euroseries) are VERY similar. Both about 1 mil USD...

Wow, This is a great discussion!
Yeah I think Carmen has proved herself over in Europe & coming to the USA was her decision and a good one at that! I agree she is a unknown right now to the US motorsport enthusiasts But I'm telling you she will make a great impression. Its all about race time. You can talk the talk but can you walk the walk... Am I right? Off the track Carmen is a sweetheart so kind and nice. She loves doing events with kids & charities! It's not what you would expect to someone who models & races for a living. Say you came out to a race and shes not busy with the team. She will gladly meet you and say whats up. She has no ego, no chip on her shoulder! ...........I can't say the same for other Female Drivers I have met....... In one of the pictures i posted you can see Indy driver our buddy EJ Viso! I think her direction is only going to be up. About me I'm a nooby in the world of racing! I know garbage loads about Subaru'ss and not jack about Indy! I have a brother on the inside who has set me up with this really awesome chance to help out. I'm still learning. But with Carmen & EJ they are good teachers! EJ left today for Brazil. Fingers Crossed! Plus EJ rocks out a SL65 Black.. and if you wanna feel real power.. go in a ride with him on the track.. He had me screaming Tomorrow I'll be at the Test & Tune with my Digital camera & I'll leak some more photos heheeh Indy Lights cost around 1 million & Indy like 2-3 from what I understand from what I hear around me.
