Default Deatschwerks 565cc Injectors - Help Needed

I recently installed a set of Deatchwerks 565cc injectors along with a VF39 and STI TMIC on my already Stage 2'd '05 WRX. It was my understanding that these injectors were similar to the STi Pinks and I could generally start off with a basic OTS VF34 map.

Well I found that this wasn't the case. I've been trying to find a happy medium between a new injector scaler # and tweaking the MAF. I've dialed in the MAF for WOT above 4000rpm pretty good, but the light throttle and cruise are really being a PITA. My "cruise" is set for 14.80:1 and the wideband is consistantly reading 13.7 and what's odd is that the STFT is adding fuel and not subtracting it to hit the 14.80:1 cruise AFR.

Overall I've trimmed about 16% off of the MAF values on average, but there are some spots that are 2%, some that are 30% etc.. I may go back and try to tweak the injector scaler some more but do you think it's worth the time? I basically just want to get the tune taken care of as quickly as possible with the least amount of MAF tweaking.

Has ANYONE had experience with these injectors and the VF39 on a 2 liter?

Thanks!

upon first glance, it appears to me that latency is off. Why people don't just go with modded stockers which are a piece of cake to tune I don't understand. With the cars I have tuned I had to change the MAF table very little as long as you get the injector scaler right. basically I aim for actual AFRs matching target AFRs at WOT w/o changing the MAF. keep adjusting the injector scaler till that is set up right then tune for drivability at lower MAF values by tweaking the MAF table. I haven't had to make any drastic changes to the MAF table yet.

Are you using the same latency values as stock? should you? I have tuned a buddy's WRX with deatschworks 680's and I kept his latency the same as stock and his car runs great. sorry I wasn't of too much help but good luck to you and hope you get some better responses.

No worries thanks for your input. I was using the stock Latency but I ended up pulling them out today to just toss some pinks in there. I got a decent WOT curve but didn't have the time to slowly tweak the driveability. These will be up for sale shortly unfortunately. They work great, just didn't have the time to tweak.

this makes sense, Deatschwerks uses OEM cores, and doesn't change the coil dynamics, so latency was the same. YMMV. I use side-feed 740cc and they work nicely.
