Post Minnam Kit FYI - Turbo weight and your header - Minnam kit owners please read.

I went down to Cobb Tuning last weekend and Trey noted that my exhaust header seemed to be slightly bent and the entire exhaust system was lower because of it; apparently the additional weight from the turbo causes some strain on the headers.

I spoke to George at Minnam Racing, and he is aware of the problem. It affects 2.2l (with one outlet per side) cars moreso than 2.5l (with two outlets, thus more supporting pipe), but it does affect both. He's working on a bracket that mounts onto some spare bolt holes in the transmission to support the header crossmember. Best of all, he will be sending them out free of charge to anyone who owns a Minnam kit and is experiencing the problem. Since my situation is fairly severe, I should be getting one in by the end of the month.

Thanks for the info. So far though mine seems to be holding up well.
