Default Subaru of Wakefield - Tech drops clutch (video)

I went to Subaru of Wakefield (MA) for an oil change and the tech goes WOT in 1st gear, dropping it into 2nd in the worst shift i've ever seen in my life...

What happened with the shift? It sounded to me like he hit boost in 1st, clutch in, dropped to 2nd, slipped back to proper revvs.

It looks to me like he might have goosed the throttle for a second, then rocked the Drivetrain for a moment on the shift to second because, I'm assuming, this tech has never driven your car before and is not familiar with the clutch engagement point.

The guy went maybe 10mph and did not launch your car.

Get over it.

What work was it in for?

Well regardless of what actually happened,it was needlessly aggressive behavior with someone else's property and potentially dangerous. Reckless behavior can't be encouraged in a seemingly professional environment.

Just oil. The manifesto report on oil performance sold me on oem Subaru oil xD

What are you using for video? What's your setup. It looks damn good.

I've been thinking about something like that for a while now.

I go to this dealership for everything, they've been pretty good. I even let one of the service advisors drive my car if its doing something funky. Generally a very trustworthy service department, yea they aren't perfect..but what Subaru dealership is?

No, I agree with the OP. He took it in for an oil change. This tech was way too harsh on this guys car. If He was trying to diagnose something regarding the drivetrain or something than it might be a different story but this tech was reckless with this car. If it was any of your cars I doubt youd be defending the tech here.
