Im sorry you had a bad experience with us. Actually we do not have a Mark that works for us and the whole time it was Marco that you were speaking to. I did speak with Marco and explained to him that communication is important. I apologize from everyone at South Coast Subaru for the inconvenience that you did experience. Marco is a new writer to us and we are going to teach him how to give great service so this incident does not happen again. In the future, if you chose to give us a second chance to earn your business, please ask for me and ill make sure that we earn your business.

Thanks
Ferdie

Until they have a 'real' service department I won't go back. The Acura dealership seems to be the main focus and it shows. The service office and availability of staff has been a joke; hopefully, that will change but I'll do my own service or go independent. I'll still buy my oil drain plug gaskets from you though!

Im not sure if this is a bad experience but I drove by yesterday Saturday around 1pm because I was in the area. I wanted to make an appointment to change my brakes. So I talk to the service guy and he says "just call this number and you can make an appointment there". In my mind I was like WTF im already here why cant I make it now. So I took the paper and I left. Got home called up to make an appointment, a lady answers and I tell her about making an appointment. She transfers me and no one answers. So after being redirected, put on hold like 4 times. I finally talk to the service guy THE SAME GUY THAT GAVE ME THE PAPER with the "Dedicated Service Appointment Line" phone number. Its not an appointment line btw because they have to transfer you to service. Are they not allowed to make appointment there in person or something.

Propps to SCS!

Took my car in last saturday morning due to a clunking from right front, i believed it to be the right front strut. Marco in Service helped me out when I arrived, later that afternoon he called to verify my concern that I indeed had a blown strut (on stock suspension with 17500 miles). Good news was it was an easy fix, the kind of bad news was they had to get the part on Monday. No biggie. Monday rolls around and at noon Tim in Service called me to let me know it was done. I appreciate the great communication from Marco and Tim. All taken care of under warranty.

Btw, I bought this car from Irvine Subaru and only had it 3 weeks when this occured.

Thanks guys!

Oh yeah, that Ferdie guy is alright too.

I decided give these guys another chance and get some Extra-S tranny fluid a few days ago. Ferdie tells me they only sell it in 5 gallon drums (after I wait forever for him to finish shooting the **** with a co-worker about racing while I wait ZzzzZzzz). He tells me just go to any parts store and I can use any 75-90wt. gear oil !

So, I call Rennick and they offered to sell Subaru Extra-S per quart from their service department.

I'm trying real hard to find something useful about So. Coast since they are 5 minutes away but they failed again. Rennick impressed me with their service and attitude. Hopefully, your experience will be better.

Sales staff is a joke
I spoke with jeremiah the other day, all he said was "wrx beats the sti in a drag"
Half way through the conversation he decided to start promoting the dodge challenger instead of the wrx itself. He also showed us a base model while we were looking for a premium,
while we were on a test drive he told us not the push the car, although while he was driving he decided to not only launch a brand new car but he also told us to floor it while we were driving.

thanks for the help, this will help provide us with information that can help Jerimiah be a better sales person in the future. I will talk to him today. In the future ask for Arthur or Brady and they will be happy to help you. They own subarus and are very knowledgeable of them.

Wow. It's one thing to be a little "green", but how does such inexperience and immaturity fly under the radar like that? I'll stick with Irvine Subaru, thanks.

Jerimiah is a new salesperson for us and he is not learning the dos and donts of the industry. Well, if you need anything let me know.

Sure is hard trying to get a quote from SCS....it's like pulling teeth. At this rate, I'll have to buy elsewhere.

Sent you a pm already. Also, if you have anymore questions about this dont hesitate to call Denise at 7146892103x3102. I dont take care of the used car deals but if you have problems talking to denise let me know. She is trying to resolve the issue with Sacramento.

I gave up waiting on Mr Kraus. I bought the WRX elsewhere. SCS will be last on my list of dealers the next time I buy a car.

Sales Dept:
I bought my car from SCS back in July and had a very good experience. John and Arthur were both very helpful and very low pressure salesman. I would highly recommend them if you're thinking about picking up a Subaru (or Acura since it's practically the same dealership). What I really liked about them was that they let me take the car out alone for a few hours to drive it around and really get a feel for it. They also beat the lowest price I could find in the So Cal area.

Service Dept:
I just dropped my car off today to have them check out some issues I'm having with the clutch. The initial check in was quick and the guy who helped me was very helpful. I'm just hoping they don't tell me the clutch issues are "normal" and that they couldn't find anything wrong. I will follow up this review when I hear back from them.

Default Over pricing on parts?

I recently had gone to these folks for a simple upgrade to my Nav unit..install of the bluetooth and mic. It's a factory part so I looked it up and was going to go to my Local shop Frank's Irvine Subaru but a friend told me she knew people there and we might be able to get a hook up on price. Sweet I thought well let's go there then i thought. So just as I am about to hand over the keys I say what's the final cost to me gonna be on this? Thinking it's got to be cheaper than the $350 ish I had been seeing. The service guy looks at me and says "well let's see..um that's $300 for the part and $250 for labor so about $550." What!? Are you serious!? Are we talking about the same part here? I say hold on. So I call Irvine Subaru on the phone right there in front of him and ask how much they charge for the exact same thing. $320 installed. In hearing this the service guy simply hands me back my key. Not much to say about that. So much for the hook up and so much for even fair pricing. How could they get away with such a price gouge? How do they even stay in business? I personally will not be going back for well anything from them. This is a shame too because the chief parts guy sounds like a good guy, very knowledgeable about Subaru's and the STi in particular. I did get my Bluetooth set up by Irvine and in telling them the story they even gave me a break on the price further..installed works perfect for $273. I will definitely return there.
