Thumbs up

Many of you are too young to really know a whole lot about who Aryton Senna was. Others who are old enough, may remember him with rose colored glasses and not recall how ferocious or tenacious he actually was. The movie Senna was good (free on netflix) but I think this is a better illustration of just how this guy was put together. I hope you enjoy.

There is no off season. Those sitting on their butts now, not planning or prepping their cars, not practicing their race craft in some fashion, not improving themselves physically, ***8230;. are going to get left even further behind next season in Autocross.

Get some!

Pay particular attention to the number of winter condition accidents where patience wasn't displayed.

Situational awareness and car control can save your life.

be safe and sage out there folks.

bet you can't sit still in front of your screen through the whole thing

So I follow a lot of different types of racing in my limited free time. The Global Time Attack series was in my old stomping grounds this past weekend. Road Atlanta is one of the places I cut my teeth way back in the day, albeit on bikes. I love that place. It is so fast. They have made extensive changes to the track to try to slow people down since I last rode bikes there.

This place can and will catch you out. The last day of the event the series leader, Profession Awesome's EVO 7, got loose in turn one. Here are the results from multiple angles.

This totally killed the car BTW.

Just thought it was a great depiction of how quickly things can go wrong. We are all building our cars to higher and higher levels of performance. Never forget that these things can happen. Always keep safety in mind, keep your racing to the track and keep your vehicle in top condition. This car has set multiple track records and had 11 wins in a row in the series. Great team, great driver and WAS a great car.

Original article seen here on one of my favorite sites. http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...d-atlanta.aspx

A lot of lessons for local builders buried in this article. Those with the eyes to see will know.
