CP's and Eagles will be a good bargain combo. That's a great price too.

ive heard the eagle rods are shorter then stock 2.5 rods. have you considered bc rods? they're like a 40-50 bucks more.

i used Eagle rods in my 2000 civic back in the day.. and i now have cp pistons in my current(subie) motor..
only thing i remember about the Eagle H-beam rods is that i have to notch the bottem of the cyc. on the honda so the rods would clear, they were so much thicker then stock(from a NA honda) that they would clear out of the box.. idk if they are the same with subie motors, i just kept stock sti rods in mine.. |

I ordered that same set up but never recieved it and got scammed by speed clinic so I ordered cp with helix rods and acl bearings from gruppe-s. I would just be careful when ordering from them because they are assosiated with the guys from speed clinic who scammed a lot of people and now work at RSP.

extremepsi.com is a reputable place to get engine internals for the same price although they don't have CP pistons listed.

My shop is run completely on the up and up and I have been working in the industry for close to 15 years. I can go to any event or racetrack and never look over my shoulder... I plan on keeping it this way. If anything is ordered through my company they will get what they pay for. For anyone that purchases through EBAY or Paypal they are protected. I would suggest to anyone that is doing business online, especially in these current times is careful who they deal with. Do not take your business off of EBAY or Paypal with anyone you cannot deal with face to face in the event something goes south. If there are any direct questions about any issues with my shop please contact me directly. Thanks Jay Meagher Real Street Performance Last edited by JayMeagher; 02-04-2009 at 12:11 PM. Reason: . |

As far as the eagles being "short" I have never seen that issue. |

never seen that before either.
Turbo rods (2L, 2.2L and 2.5L) are shorter than N/A 2.5 rods. So it's possible you heard someone comparing the eagle rods with factory EJ25 rods and not with EJ257 or EJ205 rods. that's a steal of a price as well. I can't even sell my pistons for that little... of course, they're all custom. |
