I don't notice a drone in my car with the nameless axlebacks like I did when I had the stock mufflers on. Whenever my rpms dropped below 2k, my stock exhaust would drone like crazy to the point of setting off car alarms. With the nameless there is noise... but I wouldn't consider it droning. I'm not sure if that makes any sense but like Jason explained to me, the frequencies are different. The drone is probably due to the restrictive stock mufflers.

Thanks guys for the info. Seems like the stock mufflers are the culprits.. at least I know how to fix it now.

I have the nameless Axel back and am looking to clean up the sound and quiet it up slightly. Any opinions on mufflers that sound good without resonators or a resonator that would work better then the stock one for doing this? There is only room for a muffler or resonator not both. 2011 sedan wrx. Thank you on advance.

Here are a few quick pictures of my new 3.5" tips. They have a .5" stagger cut, and they sit flush. They sit perfect in the bumper IMO

Thanks to Jason and crew, these things look and sound amazing!!

I bought mine used, I don't know about the tip size, but they are staggered.

Sounds awesome!

I will try to post pics of the 3.5s today... But this exhaust sounds mean as hell... Downside is there is some serious drone at 60mph on the highway...

I guess it depends on what you classify as drone. The exhaust is louder than stock and will be heard at highway speeds. I've had annoying drone-exhausts before, this doesn't compare.

I agree. At 60 I can hear my exhaust, but it isnt droning at all. Some exhausts drone so bad you get a headache while driving. This system doesnt do it at all

It looks like 3" tips

You want stats, I got stats.

"Quad Staggered Double Wall Round Tips: We think these are the best option, these are T304 stainless, double wall polished tips that fit perfectly into the cutout in the rear valence of the vehicle. 10 Degree Angle Cut with staggered arrangement (inboard tips stick out 1/2***8243; further than outboard tips). 3***8243; diameter per tip." - nameless performance

They measured out to a little larger than 3", so I'm assuming they are the 3" tips.

I am thankful for the advice and leadership you two have provided me.

<oops I just threw up a little>

Hahaha...anytime man! 3 inchers huh? As long as it makes you happy.

It does look super clean, regardless of size. Is the noise level growing on you?

I love the thump. It reminds me of my 02 wrx with a catless dp and the stromung dual tip. Very cool! Much louder than my 05 and 07 imprezas.
I will appreciate it more when I sound proof the car and only get the deep thump sounds.
