Defi Boost Gauge @ 14 PSI Peak? W/O Boost controller...
I was under the impression that the maximum stock boost level was around 12.5- 13.0. Consistently in third and fourth gear I get a reading of 14 psi max. I know someone else had mentioned this once. I figured there have to be quite a few people running the Defi boost gauge by now.
I installed my Defi Boost guage tapping into the vacuum line going to the BOV. I understand this to be the factory Tee position. I have yet to find a definitive answer on the accuracy of any boost gauge... A lil help here.... What are the factory boost maps supposed to look like.. Is it possible that my car is hitting 14 Psi Stock...

i think its very possible, depending on weather conditions, boost creep and I think the stock boost is 14 psi anyway.

Don't worry, the stock ECU will give 14.2-14.7 PSI (depends who you talk to). My car says 15psi in 3rd and above, so close enough to 14.7.
All the literature states 14+ stock PSI also. Michael |
