the wheel fitment thread: keep it drama free
this fitment thread encompasses ALL styles: hellaflush, aggressive, stretch & poke, meaty tires, wrong fitment, correct fitment, etc.
this is not the thread for opinions. there is no right and wrong. points will given accordingly. if any "correct fitment" crew members post here, you will receive points for each and every post. please search and research before posting. i'd like to see educated questions, not "can i run a 17x9 +20 without modifying my fenders and stock suspension?" please follow this format: year: model: wheel model: wheel size/offset: tire brand/model: tire size: suspension: alignment: DON'T BOTHER ASKING ABOUT AN "AGGRESSIVE" SETUP IF YOU'RE GOING TO SAY YOU DON'T WANT TO ADD NEGATIVE CAMBER fender mods: spacers: yes/no? size? please let me know if there's anything else i can do to improve this thread. thanks in advance for everybody's help assisting other members. if you don't know what's required to fit a certain fitment, please refrain from posting so we don't clutter the thread up. if you think an offset is too low, too bad...don't post because this is the style thread where people do things because they think it looks good.

if you have more than 20mm between the inner edge of the fender lip and the outer edge of your tires, you won't need to roll your fenders. |

A very simple question, but I'll post up all the specs regardless.
Question: Would adding 4mm or 5mm spacers make any difference at all visually? year: 2002 model: WRX wheel model: Rota Grid wheel size/offset: 17 X 7.5/+48 tire size: 225/45/17 suspension: KYG Struts/Tein springs (1.5" drop) alignment: Stockish fender mods: None spacers: None |

no...you'd be better off buying new wheels with your desired offset.

you would have no trouble fitting a 245/40/17 with your setup. in general shorter sidewalls give you more stability through turns as well as better turn in response and feel. taller sidewalls are more cushy feeling. for summer tires the wider they are the more grip you're going to get as long as your camber isn't way out. 18x13s +20 offest. can it be done?
so im thinking about doing something stupidly aggressive on a 02 sedan.
18x13 +20 not sure on tire size but will need to be stretched for days. im thinking i could get 265s under the fenders with lots of fender work, and between -3 to -4 degrees of camber and its going to poke a bit i dont want to run flares. stock fenders with lots of pull, and rolling. i might consider welding extra metal on to give me a little more flare. any thoughts or adivce? yes i know this is stupid and going to cost $$$ thanks, kyle |

I take that back. You MIGHT be able to fit the +33's, but thats only if you stretch a 225/45 or 235/35 on those wheels and 3.5*+ of camber. This also means roll + pull all around. The widest people seem to fit within stock fenders is 11", 12" is already pushing it depending on offset and tire. Last edited by sc00by4life; 07-18-2011 at 05:55 AM. |

Help. Trying to run 18x10 on a 2011 STI.
Ok so i just got the car. I seen this thread http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2138259 and i love that setup but id like a lil more tire for these damn potholes out here.
I wanna run the Miro stp-1's. 18x10 +25 I ordered BC BR coilovers already, im just trying to figure out what tire size i need and do i need spacers to clear the brembos? i would like to avoid pulling and rolling the fenders but if i have to i can get it rolled. I dont mind camber also as i will only have this setup just for the summer. Help is much appreciated. |
