There do it yourself kits for $40 at the parts store. It's really easy to do, except when the system leaks.

would your AC compressor still turn on with the system empty? Christian said that could be my issue... still a little skeptical.

Once the system/computer started to register a charge, the compressor then kicked in. I had it almost fully charged, and it was blowing really cold air. I'd say try it. If it doesn't work, you're only out $40 for the kit, as opposed to newerore $$$ parts.

well the compressor turned on as i started charging it, so that's good. but then after a couple minutes it started to catch and barely turn. it's like it's not fully engaging all of a sudden. soaked it with WD40, no immediate luck. i'll try again today and see what happens. may need a new compressor regardless. at least i know where the issue is now.

the WRX is running like a champ for now though! whiny gears all dayyyyyyyyyyy

so, meat this week?!?! weather is looking awesomeeee

I just bought one. Your best bets are either Craigslist, dealerships upgrading or closing or auctions.

Do a google search for tedesco(I think that's the spelling) auctions. He usually always has dealerships that he helps sell equipment for.

There may even be a guy in Franklin selling one. Check out garagejournal.com forums.

My lift came out of the Watertown ford dealer when they built a new facility.

You looking for a 2 post or 4 post?

Actually i registered as a member and uploaded a photo. But haven't gone up yet. Also posted on a couple other threads. You guys are all local and I was looking for stuff near me. Lifts aren't easy to ship you know?!

Plus i have a heated garage that has two cranes, industrial compressor, and its empty so might be useful to the local chapter. This is my personal garage!

Oh and i drive a stock 2012 sti...she is only 10 days old! Happy profile natzi? jk
