STI Accessport dyno #'s. Let's see them.
Post dyno numbers for Accessport stage 1 and 2.
Please include the type of dyno. I am interested in seeing what others are putting down. 304 hp 333 ft/lb torque On a dynojet. (reads a little high) 93 octane Stage 2 Map with TBE Last edited by dizzysti; 08-05-2004 at 11:28 PM. |

You might want to specify WRX vs. STI AP Stage2 numbers.... The title doesn't differentiate.
I have a friend who just tested his 2004 WRX sedan on AP Stage 2/93 and pulled 255 WHP on a Mustang Dyno in Texas this week. Stock STI pulls 255 WHP and Stock C5 Corvette pulls 285 WHP on this same dyno. |

STi, stage 1, 93 octane. I got 273 hp/293 ft.-lb. on a Mustang dyno. Done at FIS a few months back, about 85-90 in shop, 60% humidity.
Another guy with a Stage 2, 93 octane made a run. He had an APS 3.5" TBE, and he got 290 hp/308 ft.-lb. on same dyno(same day, same temp). Mika |

This is a good thread. I am more intersted in the wrx numbers seeing as though I am looking into getting an AP.
The STi numbers are good to see as well though. |

AP is a big interest for me as well. For the level of engine mods i wanna do(UP,TBE and maybe a P&P on the turbo) AP is looking like a good option. I also like that its cheap and i can change maps myself.
So you WRX guys get in here and post. |

Cobb stage 1 91 octane. Harman Motive dynojet.
191 hp 194 torque Peak boost was 13 psi...dont know why. Im guessing it should have been ~207hp/220 ft/lbs if I hit "target boost" |

I think I'm reading my dyno chart wrong..maybe. With just a Borla cat-back and otherwise stock (AP not istalled yet) I pulled:
192.38 HP (SAE corrected) 217.81 torque 53°F, 29.5 in-Hg, 33% humidity on a DynoJet 424x (I think). Am I reading this wrong? |

This article describes SAE correction on a DynoJet being invalid when applied to a turbo engine. The article claims SAE correction will result in inaccurately high numbers for a turbo engine. Basically it says SAE correction from DynoJet numbers shouldn't be used for turbo engines.

Wow! That is really high, especially the torque. I would say that you are reading it wrong or you have a factory freak.
Scan it if you can and post it up. |

I can e-mail it as a pdf....if someone wants to read it and tell me if I'm mistaken.
Also, should i use any correction (if SAE isn't considered viable)? Even using UNCORRECTED) I have even higher #'s: 198.53 HP 224.95 TQ |

Sure... email it to me if you want. I'm guessing you're reading the dyno plot correctly... I doubt that's the problem. Have you done any modifications? If not, it sounds like the dyno or the shop is trying to approximate crank power numbers.

WRX pulls on DD in NE
To chime in, I pulled 159whp on a Dyno Dynamics with only a cat back exhaust. (not bone stock but insignificant in HP gains) A guy right after me pulled 214whp w/ Cobb/AP stage 2 (STi UP, SSDP, Prodrive muffler)
So, there ya have it ~55whp gain w/ stage 2. DD dynos are know for being lower than others, so delta increase in Hp & Tq is all that can be used for statistical reference. FWIW... N |

04 WRX, pde uppipe, randomtech dp w/2 high flow cats. Stage 1 my egts were in the 1400-1600 range when i got on it, depending on gear and load, if I was going up an hill it would be closer to 1600.
when I went to stage 2 my numbers came down a little still in the 1400-1500 range, egt in the header. Couple inches from the block. no dyno yet, but i will get in done soon |
