Aftermarket radiator & fans for GC8 Swap
I am looking at replacing my STI radiator in my GC8 swap. I would like to go away from the center located top rad hose port, a hacked up 2.5RS fans, and zip ties set up. I've driven with this radiator set up for about 2.5 years and for about 1 year by the previous owner. If you can see it in the picture below, the passenger fan is being lifted off the radiator.
I've searched thru the conversion board and I'm either going to go with a Koyo R2218 or a Mishimoto GC8 aluminum radiator and OEM rubber hoses. I can't find much info on what fans to use. I don't want to cheap out on fans and I am willing to spend money on a reliable fan set up. I would keep my AC. Which slim fans should I go with? BTW, am I able to reuse my factory overflow tank or would I have to find something else? Thanks! |
