And if you don't want it to sound idiotic whenever it opens, an MBC.

Manual Boost Controller.

With an EBCS Electronic Boost Controller Solenoid it will have a weird surging sound, like it is struggling to do it's job. An MBC will make it sound very assertive, direct, to the point, and like it was made to work with an EWG.

Go on youtube and listen to EWG video's with both ebcs's and mbc's.

I bet if you searched about this subject you would know you can't just "slap it on."

^That was a useless post as the OP has already had a few people respond with helpful comments, but if you need to be on "search it" patrol today then I understand.

As far as the MBC vs EBCS with an EWG: Are there actual benefits from running a mbc with an EWG? I've seen countless people run an EWG with an EBCS, but if there is a real benefit to a MBC I might be interested in doing a hybrid setup

Search and you'll find out. Seriously, don't "search patrol" hate, since we all know he didn't. Go learn for yourself.

MBC will reduce flutter when used with an EWG. He could be super cool and run a hybrid setup of an EBCS and MBC.
