Im glad there is alot of interest for the Nameless on the hatch recently. I've been wanting to get the Nameless axleback for my hatch. I really like the sound, but also the looks. It seems like one of the few exhausts that keeps the smaller tip diameter.

And hopefully you guys will buy it and post vids so I can decide which muffler size to get!

Install the Grip catback from Ark Performance anfew weeks ago for my 11 STI sedan. That exhaust is a thing of beauty. Fitment was perfect, even the shop that did the install for me was amazed by how well it went on. Looks overall are incredible with the burnt tips and dual resonator chambers near the mufflers. This is a very mature exhaust, quieter than stock on the inside with a nice deeper classic Subie rumble that we all love. There is literally zero drone, not even a hint of it. Perfect exhaust for someone looking for the Subie sound without something abnoxiously loud, which for some reason a lot of people on here purposefully try to achieve :/ only drawback is the price.

I believe the cobb dp tapers to 2.5"to match the stock midpipe, so if you get a full 3"midpipe you might lose some flow, but I'm not sure it really makes a difference.

Theres a reason why nameless cost more for just an axleback.
The desire for the TurboXS was based on reviews of the sound level and not price. TurboXS is one of the only ones I've seen that has no reports of droning.

You'd never knew it. I just replace my nameless muffler delete with a full turboxs system and am beyond thrilled. Much more of a proper suby sound.

I wonder because the turboxs has mufflers? Lol
Comparing a muffler delete to a full CBE?

But I'm glad you like it

Most consumers don't care if it has 8 mufflers or none. If it sounds good and seems to be well made then it's a win. We are comparing what sounds good to what doesn't, nothing more.

Yes but we should be doing accurate comparisons. A full CBE system to just a delete is ridiculous. It's like comparing an apple to an orange. Instead of a green apple to a red apple...

I love the sound of my muffled nameless catbak with resonator delete. The sound of the boxer really comes out. It puts the txs to shame in terms of mean sounding. Im happy that i didnt wait for the txs

True. I do however believe that adding a midpipe to the np exhaust will not change the sound much from just the axelback. Jmo

I went resonator delete on the midpipe so it was plenty different. Loud when accelerating but you can barely here it at 80mph crusing highway. Love it

I do think it would change going from resonated to non resonated. Most cbe include a resonator though. Glad you are happy with it.

I spoke with one of the guys from NP. They said the midpipe resonator would "take the rough edges off the sound". I take that as meaning less gargling/raspy sounds. They were saying it's gonna have a loud, deep sound either way.

That would be ideal. I just didn't want to gamble on it removing enough of it that I would be satisfied. Otherwise I would have been out even more cash having to sell the delete and now midpipe as well.

Thats what they told me also. With the 4inch mufflers i prefer no resonator. If you have muffler deletes you should stick with the resonator.I had both the resonator and resonator delete and prefered the delete. The car doesnt drone at any cruising speeds

On another note, has anyone tried adding a resonator to the Q300 hatch? I love how it looks/sounds outside the car, but on the inside there is just far too much drone. Mine is just sitting in my attic, and I'm debating whether or not welding another resonator in would decrease the drone.

Worst case scenario, I spend the money on a resonator/welding, don't like the sound, and then it sits in my attic again (or I sell it). Thoughts?

I feel the exact same way love the sound outside but cruising around town the drone makes me want to punt small dogs
