Default My P1507 and P0507 throttle cable solution.

So I got these codes after I had my manifold off and want to share my solution since I didn't see it on here when I was searching for solutions and it could easily happen to others.

I was getting high, fluctuating idle, and misfires ... when I got on the throttle when driving it was great. I naturally thought IACV, and then started reading about the neutral switch being a possibility. Since I had the manifold off I also thought it could be a vacuum leak. After double checking everything, checking for leaks, it turned out to by my throttle cables. I tightened them by hand during the re-installation, and was going to go back and tighten them with a wrench but forgot. They worked themselves loose and stopped the throttle from closing all the way causing a horrible air/fuel mix and P1507/P0507 and idle issues.

If you're getting these codes, it's worth taking a look at you throttle cables before messing with the IACV and definitely before pulling your trans for the neutral switch.

Just bumping an old thread since this made me happy today, had both codes after a ton of work and 4 months of my car down. Was about to start messing with the IACV when I found this, loosened my cables and it fixed it.
