Yes the evo III 16G will make within 5hp of the 18G. what are the benefits? SPOOL!!! this thing makes boost at 21xx rpms on a 2.0!!! compared to an 18G which starts making boost later. giving you a larger powerband, the same hp and can withstand high boost (I personally put it through 30psi and it didnt blink on meth injection)
The EvoIII is by far the best choice for street/strip/autocross use. Turn your suby into an evolution killer, with a taste of its own medicine!

Sorry if it's a noob question:
What the difference between the SBR 20G and others, say FP and Deadbolt?
Also are these turbos on this group buy only oil-cooled?
Thanks.

Homiusang,

SBR's turbos are oil and water cooled, so you have all the benefits of a stock turbo. They are genuine mitsubishi turbochargers which have been used for years mated with subaru housings, so the reliability is that of a stock vehicle!

Needles, Although you could run pinks, I believe that the evo III 16G has more then enough power to max them out, PE650cc injectors are recommended.
To drop in the evo III 16G all you must do is pick up the turbo and the install kit for the turbo (coolant line/banjo bolts/gaskets) to make it a direct easy install. it will work with just the coolant line if you already have the other parts. we can put something together on the 650cc injectors i'll give anyone who wants them a serious discount on the PE650's as PE just lowered their price!!!

I'm curious about a 16G on an STi, have you seen it done? Spool must be insane and it must flow better than VF39.

You have another thread saying the PE Injectors are lower price. Your website says $540.99 and you guys have them listed as $579 in this group buy? Is this expected ($40 for shipping maybe)?

That being said, I PM'd you.

We can do a td06H if you'd like

(I have a feeling once the first person "pulls the trigger" The rest will follow) Also This group buy will not go on forever, if thats what your worried about. We will cover up the rest of the turbo's if all 10 arent sold

What do you recommend for a 06 WRX? I am looking for close to stock low end but much better top end. I'm looking into the td06h20g but the td05h18g might be more for me.

the 20G with td06h, is no where near stock low end. Anyone who says that a 20G with a td06h wheel is going to feel almost stock on the low end...well they are lying and just trying to make a sale. The truth is that you will even feel lag on the 18G. this is why we suggest the evo III 16G. it makes as much power as an 18G but the spool is amazing. It will make the same 350whp with supporting mods that an 18G will. Dont let the name of the turbo fool you, dsm'ers have been using this turbo to make over 400whp for years, its similar to the idea of making 400whp in an evo...on the stock turbo. Why get a larger turbo? because on those cars the stock turbo has such great spool that a larger peak # of anything less then 475whp is not worthwhile, because of the lag that your getting. If you want a large dyno # get the larger turbo, if you want a car that you can autocross, drag race, and track race, the evo III 16G is the answer for the wrx. Give it a try, you'll be grinning from ear to ear!

So it sounds like the evo III 16g is an excellent choice for the 2.0, but as has been asked a couple of times in the thread, how would it perform on a 2.5 ? For the new WRX and the FXT the question of what turbo to jump to other than a VF39 comes-up quite frequently. I personally don't want lots of top-end at the sacrifice of lag down low, but I also don't want a turbo that will be overrun by the 2.5 either. Anyone use the Evo III 16g with a 2.5 yet?
