I hate Chevy's tall and skinny rectangular wheel wells.
Hate! |

I think the Sierra would look good in black and with better wheels, I like the LEDs. Gas mileage on these trucks is atrocious though.

Same engines they've had for 15 years and ugly. No thanks.

A jalopnik'er did the PS so I can't take credit.
I also like how GM is marketing Active Fuel Management as "new" tech. |

In all fairness, they did add DI to the engines. That usually improves low end torque which allows for taller gearing and better mileage.

Ford has engines in their trucks that are only a couple years old and far superior. These 2014 GM trucks are using the same 4.8l engine my dad had in his 2001 Silverado. Likewise for that boat anchor 5.3 as well. Sure, it's not an iPod, but these engines just aren't competitive anymore and that translates to the entire vehicle.

I would still pick a Tundra or F150 over the Chevy.

I like the GM pickups, best balance quality and price, economy and durability unmatched.I have to say every pickup on the market is good. The GM is not the best looking imho but it is the most reliable and has great resale. Ford seems to be always more expensive by big margin of $3k to $5k for same configuration. Toyota lacks the HD features while Dodge coming on strong now. Better looking truck, Reliability issues still exist.
I hope the new seats are more comfortable on long drives. |

I would find it very hard to believe that a more reliable half ton truck can be found than a Toyota.

They also offer a dealer installed supercharger (with warranty!) on two of their pickup models.
