Help! My SAFC installtion didn't work.
When I put the car into accessories mode, the SAFC lights up the buttons (ie has power) but displays nothing on the screen. When I try to turn the car on, the car starts to idle speed, dies, starts to idle speed, dies, throws a CEL, and I assume would repeat the same idle-->die process over and over until I stopped it, which I did after 2-3 cycles. And I still had no display on the AFC. Luckily I had put in a DB9 plug for the purpose of making a dummy plug incase I wanted to remove the AFC, so luckily my car is still functional with the MAP wires reconnected.
Anyone have any idea why its doing this? Probably one wire is not correct..I need the wiring diagram for a 2002 RS incase they changed something from the MY 2001s.

www.scoobymods.com, did you look there yet?
I would double check all your wiring, but if it powers up the display should show up, you might have a bad safc... Jay |

The only wire that would prevent the AFC from displaying anything is the power and ground. If they are both good and nothing is showing up on the screen, the AFC is kaput. I think your install is good but your SAFC might be toast . Unfortunately, it remembers which menu it was on last, or I'd say hit down three times and then hit "next" to initialize it. The wiring schematics to the very best of my knowledge have not changed for the 2.5 SOHC engine since 2000. If I were closer by, we could pop my SAFC into your wires to verify...
