Default prosport guage install

so here is the deal im installing the prosport digital boost and oil pressure gauges in my car. i already had a clock pod with some megan racing gauges in it so i removed those and began installing th new ones. everything appeared to be fine untill i was driving and realized that all my dash lights are turned on no matter if my headlights are on or not. they wont turn off untill you turn the car off? what wire under the guage pod could do this. also i cant figure out what wire on the back of the gauges would make them dim when my headlights are turned on so they arent so bright at night or even if i did i dont know where to hook it up to make them do that. the guages have the following color wires

boost gauge says
RED-12v Accessory Power
(also run to sender)
Black-ground
Yellow-12v Power
Green-boost sender
(connects to white wire from sender)

and the sender for the boost has
Black-ground
Red-accessory power
white-green wire from gauge.

i have the red and yellow both connected to the same power. is this wrong? im thinking maybe one of them is for the dimmer. any ideas and if so what color wire under the dash does it go to?

oil pressure gauge
Red-12v Accessory
black-ground
yellow-12v Power
green-oil pressure sender

maybe the red or yellow is the dimmer like i said but where to hook too?

help appreciated thanks

Hmmm not sure i will be installing my electric oil pressure gauge, and mechanical boost gauge next week... Both prosport BTW, they seem like a PITA to install also how did you go about installing the oil pressure gauge.

Did you go with the gallery plug, or a sandwich adapter? and if you did go with the gallery plug. Did the sender fit down there, in the gallery plug under the turbo...

PS sorry for thread jacking this, just wondering ill call my buddy and ask him for you. He had this same problem if i am not mistaking

I used the galley plug. With a 45 degree adapter I think.

Back to the OP. Yes those wires should not be put on the same. If you used the clock postion, all the wires you need are right there. And I believe that those guages do NOT dim. Sorry.

nevermind i figured it out. i dont think the gauges dim but the dash light problem was that i had the pink/blue wire connected to another pink/blue i think under the pod that made them stay on. its all fixed now. thanks for all the help
