Default WRX to R32 fitment?

So in short, will my 18x8 et 40 5x100 wheels off my 06 wrx fit the newer r32's? I know this isnt really the right place to ask. But I dont feel like joining a vdub forum just for an answer. I know the bolt patterns are the same, but should that size and offset be ok?
Hopefully some body here knows,

Chris

R32 rims are 5x112, not 5x100. It will not fit.

Default You sure Snow Drift?

Golf/Jetta used to be 5x100 where the Passat/A4 were 5x112. Maybe the R32 version was different.

Here's what I'd recommend. Go to TireRack.com and search for wheels for an R32. The specs of the wheels show the bolt pattern.

Good luck.

Depends on the definition of "newer R32". If they mean the mk5 then yes it would be 5x112. If they mean 2003 or so, then it's 5x100.

If if they were 5x100 they wouldn't fit. VWs have a larger hub diameter, so they wouldn't bolt onto the car.

(whoops, old thread)

No, 215s won't fit. You will want 265/35/16.
