If you had kept your foot into it you would have buried him alive. Same route, I got off on CA RT. 33 near Taft out in the Oil Fields, and I hit like 145 with room to rumble. I do not even have a Boost Controller yet! Just a BPM Exhaust. Before the BPM I could only hit 135ish. To that east coast punk, stay on your area board. We have open roads out here that are Toll Free, and we like to run our cars faaaasssstttt. You rally, we roadrace.

i'm wondering if that was really a SS - or a Caprice Conversion - (or if the guy just didn't have the nads)... the car I had before my Rex was a 96 Impala SS, and tho I love my WRX - I'd have thot that battle would go the other way...
SS's charge pretty strong in third gear up to about 125... the car is "drag limited" to about 140 in overdrive... |

I see.... It's north ursalia that is always doing 5-10 under the posted speed limit in the left hand lane to "keep those street racers at bay". I have met the type before.
north ursalia, lighten up... I-5 down to LA is like the auto-bann in europe. If your not doing 90, the semi's are passing you. |

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">ChrisW, why are you making wild assumptions about someone you never met? No, I usually do about 80mph on the highway- I guess I just grew up enough along the way to realize racing is for the track, not for public roads. As for FuZZyLoGiC's wise words... do I get the urge to race/retaliate? Sure, we all do. Would I ever take my car to 125mph on a public road to prove how right I am or how awesome I think I am? No, but maybe that's just because I don't let my ego make decisions that can those around me. What milo did IS CRIMINAL, plain and simple- 125mph is ILLEGAL anywhere in these 50 states. Had apexwrx been caught (too bad he wasn't) he wouldn't have had the time to type out this thread- they usually don't give you 'net access from a jail cell... funny how that works. Is there anyone here who thinks I'm some uptight ass who doesn't believe that 125mph on a public road is wrong? Don't tell me to "lighten up" when you are taking other people's lives in your hands... you have absolutely NO right to do so. Chris, I have no problem with you, or Milo, or anyone else killing themselves at their own hands on a track- what you do with your lives is your choice. If you choose to be a fool, be a fool. If you choose to be a fool and involve others... you don't want me on your jury . I just feel pity for people like you, those who cannot see that there are people in the world beyond themselves... there is little that is more pathetic.

north ursalia-
I guess that makes over 50% of the forum people, egotistic, ignorant, childish, foolish, stupid, juvenile, and careless. If thats the case, i am. I enjoy driving on the road, and i enjoy speeding once in a while, but you know what, I am prepared for the consequence, and actually i do see past myself. I dont care about human life, i am more concerned with animals. yes that is correct animals. we dont give a rats arse when we see dead deer, skunk, racoons, dogs, cats, birds, and squirrels all day long on the roads we drive daily, but when we speed to endanger (not actually cause harm) other stupid little selfish humans lives we get critisized. Actually i bought this car so i can drive it the speed limit all the time. I mean with the way they advertise it 227hp, all wheel drive, rally, etc. what do you really expect. No worries for you, you just get passed during these events, please mover over when you see any car coming behind you quickly. I figure this way: 1.im not driving drunk 2.i dont have a gun 3.i dont have road rage syndrome there are plenty of things worse then speeding out there, look at president bush. by the way im sure you are a bit older then me, deliciouspeed, brucelee, and apexwrx, thats what you can blame. replies welcomed EJ20WRX EDIT- Im in now way pre judging you. North Ursalia, lighten up. From your latest post and others in differnt threads, you sound way too uptight and need a vacation. A bit hypocritical too.
Just do yourself a favor. Make sure your driving is as good as you make it to be. I have seen more accidents caused by drivers more concerned about what other drivers were doing, not what they were doing to make the offending driver stop. Unfortuently you sound like one of these drivers with the general tone of your responses in these types of posts. but enough flaming. I don't condone street racing, Have I wound it up to 125+, yeah maybe, I will not confirm nor deny those rumors. Street racing is stupid, at least we have that much in common. Your extremely negative posts on idividual acts of stupidity or testosterone charged acts of manhood just make you look like a politically correct troll. It seems that you and I have learned speed lessons well. Let these other idiots learn for themselves. It sucks that these kids can't figure out what an open track day is, but it's their decision to do what they do on the road, they have to live with the consiquences. None of your preaching will make them stop, only the blue lights behind them (if they are lucky). happy memorial day! oh yeah... I expect this thread to be locked... sorry for any offense to others on the board. [This message has been edited by ChrisW (edited May 27, 2001).] |

125 mph battle with impala ss!
Well I was driving down to LA last night to go to my Grandfathers 85 b-day party. I was chillin @ 90 mph consistanly. I was searching for someone to battle with. All of the sudden I saw a black, tinted window Impala SS! I zoomed by him fast (maybe 100mph), he zoomed by me and we started the battle @ 90mph, he could not pass me and I had about 1 car length ahead of him untill 125 mph, I stopped, hell yeah!
