@sgoldste01 What kind of tires are those? I also noted the car is loaded with people too!

And here, one of my favorite videos on Youtube:

It's simple, you record & you upload on youtube while you're not in front of the PC. No edit needed & load of contents.

I understand the process.

The rude question I have (and I apologize in advance for my rudeness) is: Who would want to watch such a video?

No one would be the impossible as it has over 100 views so far. I suppose it is useful for education purpose & scenery(for myself mostly). It was a really nice day when I recorded my driving & also I can see how my GPS work around in real time, driving habits, other drivers, etc..

Well, I'm one of that video's viewers, but I only watched the first 45 seconds of it. I guess my rude question should have been: "What would motivate someone to watch all of that video?"

I have no idea as I would guess that most people would skip around to see the content of the video. Most videos aren't watched fully on youtube except for the really short one.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of snow tires. I install them on all of my family's cars (three vehicles), from Thanksgiving through mid-April.

We live in western NY, and travel into the Adirondack mountains every winter. Some people think that AWD cars shouldn't need snow tires (even in the conditions that I drive). I disagree.

Some people can't afford another set of tires and wheels. Especially ones that buy a $17000 car...

I have several comments about this. Take them for what they're worth:
  • I'm a big fan of Craigslist. I bought the snow tires on WRX wheels that you see in that video for $280. The tires only had 5k miles on them when I bought them. Do some research and you can score a sweet deal.
  • Snow tires are an up-front investment, but don't actually cost much over the long term. When your snow tires are on the car, you aren't wearing out your summer tires, so they last longer. Also, when you get rid of the car, you can sell your snow tire/wheel set on Craigslist and get much of your money back.
  • How do you put a price on your and your family's safety?

So that's how I justify the expense, work, and storage space required to utilize snow tires on all of my cars. I'd never operate any other way. But everyone must decide what's right for themselves.
