235/35/18 is going to give you a 3.2" sidewall which is on the small side, so be prepared for that; stock is 4" by the way. What size/offset wheels you get is going to depend on whether or not you want to get fender work done. Also, if you're going with 235s, you won't to go with anything wider than a 8.5" wheel unless you don't mind stretched tires. You might be able to run a 235 on a 9" wheel if you get a brand of tire that tends to run wide, like Federals.

225/40 on a 9" wheel doesn't even look stretched. But I mean you can tell there is a slight stretch, but its no going to kill you.

Why not just run 235/40? Am I missing something? LOL

I run 225/40s on an 8.5" wheel right now and they're stretched. I'm switching over to 235/40 Federals in the Spring which measures closer to a 245/40. And yes, I would recommend a 235/40 to him so he doesn't have stretch and so he'd have a decent sidewall, but he said he wanted a 235/35.

If you want a nice meat to it, I'd go with the 40 over the 35 but other than that you should be fine with that setup... If you dont mind rolling your fenders you may want to consider the 245/40...

Yea I'd like a wide tire but not sure if I'd need rolling with a 245/35/18 or if I could get away with a 40?

Let's Spool is on 18x9.5 +40 and 245/35/18s and is running coilovers so I would look into what mods he did to his fenders to make that setup fit. I believe he rolled all four corners. Or a less aggressive setup like mine, which is 18x8.5 +44 and 235/40/18s on Epic springs/Koni shocks and stock fenders.

I would just go ahead and roll the fenders because you're going to need to, IF you're going to lower your ride. Even a slight roll won't hurt, honestly..

I'm running an aggressive set up, ended up having to roll all fenders and slightly pull the rears. I'm going to have to do the same for the fronts soon when I go lower HAHA.

No, my fenders are completely unmodified.

It's not mandatory on all setups, but it will be for an 18x9.5 setup on coilovers. I'm lowered and didn't need to roll, but I'm on 18x8.5s and lowering springs.

I guess I should have said it wasn't mandatory. my fault, but its best to be safe ya know?

Because I left the fronts untouched and I was pulling the fenders out instead of in.

Yea stuff around the south is always cheaper though lol. And good luck finding a oven big enough to bake your wheels lol.

Edit: did you mean pay someone I do it for you also or spend the 300 bucks and powder them yourself?

Thanks Swap n' Gold, I've always been a fan of your rides. It is a 3m flat black vinyl, and I had to use a heat gun to make it adhere properly to all parts of the air dam. It lasts 5 years and it protects the paint. If i knew it was going to look this good, I would have just painted it flat black.

I was saying I can either pay the $300 to get it done from a pro.

OR

Spend that $300 on getting supplies. I wasn't being clear enough. HAHA. Besides I think I can fit my rims into my oven. Just one at a time.

It's hard finding a local hook up out here man.. nobody gives a **** about you unless you're blowing money at their face. (True story) Even the "homies" don't get hooked up even when you know the owner, its bullsh...!!
