LOL. I was waved at twice and I did my best to return a wave but I don't know if the driver saw it or not....I hope so.

My wife was with me and she stated how cool it is to see how "club-like" Subie owners are.

A silver wrx waved at me yesterday and I wasn't quick enough to wave back. Is flashing hazards good enough as a sign to wave back? Or is that rude?

I lift my fingers off the wheel from time to time and all I ever get is confused looks.

I must not be doing it right.

I used to see scoobys and throw up a peace sign or wave...and people in the car with me would be like:

People: "do you know them"?
Me: "no"
People: "then why did you wave at them"?
Me: "You wouldnt understand"

I love it, its faded a bit over the past few years in my opinion, but I'm aiming to get it back, unfortunately, as Subaru appeals more and more to the mainstream, we get the normals driving our cars!

Let the wave live on...FOREVER!

I've only gotten a total of 2.
First one was about 1 minute after purchasing it and driving it away. A fellow bugeye honked and waved.
The second was 2 days ago.. I was coming up behind an OLD Subaru.. not even sure what it was, but he gave me the thumbs up. I thought that was pretty cool.

There arent a whole lot of Subys on the east side of MI. Pretty hardcore Big 3 out here.

Subie guys don't hardly wave anymore. The community is not what is used to be, unfortunately. I can't tell you how many times I have waved at a Subie driver and received a cold blank stare. I have a neighbor two doors down with an STI that I wave at almost every day and I have yet to recieve a wave back. I fear that the WRX/STI has become the new Civic. So many around that they aren't unique anymore.

i drive an outback and i can tell you the non-impreza crowd doesnt wave much at all. most outbacks and forestes are soccer moms and/or lesbians, not really driving a subaru as part of the "clan of subaru" but rather for its versatility.

i've only gotten one wave, from a legacy GT, and that was after I put gold wheels on my car.
