On the way to work I saw tire tracks leading off the road and towards a sign. The car was gone but the sign was bent over. I chortled.

Not expecting much during the commute home today. Lots of dumbness, I'm sure, but the roads look fine.

I could wreck my DD and nobody would notice. I have 3 rolls of tape and a plethora of zip ties on standby.

Roads were bad around here today, but didn't see any accidents. Saw a trash truck sliding sideways down Lake street - that was pretty cool.

At about 5:45am this morning, I passed a blue evo on east-bound I-80 and Ridge Rd that had just played pinball between the underpass wall and the concrete median wall.

Evidently we've got a few locals to add to the list of those who crashed in the snow.

We didn't crashzorsed ****ing around, we crashzorsed on the highway because a plow truck decided it would be a good idea to plow the left lane, then exit left (****ing michigan). This left a nice pile of snow followed by unplowed **** in the fast lane

196 was iffy all the way to Cadillac even where there was plowing. Was it dark when you drove up?

It was dark but the snow was light, so visibility was good. Before anyone suggests speed - we were well under the speed limit.

It was a combination of factors - the road not being plowed, the fact that the exit is just after a crest. The biggest factor was that after the first few cars made it through fine (although a bit butt puckered) they threw up so much powder that the last few cars were driving completely blind on surprise snow at speed.
